I just got sony vegas - first time I tried making videos was today. I made one to learn the functions, then I made this:
Code: Select all
Taken from clips from yesterday's preseason match for cal; I also realize there's no god shots or clutches, but we were all playing solid and I had no need to take chances.

first of all i now like you so much more for even knowing who "Death From Above 1979" ARE, let alone using their music in your video.
also, which game is this? i am not up on my FPS's... anyway, it may be that you're extremely good w/ that sniper rifle and those shots were all kills, but it was nearly impossible to tell - not because of your video editing skills, but because of your playing style, which seems to include zooming out as soon as you fire. a survival instinct i am sure, but it doesn't make for the best content, if you know what i mean. we wanna see the carnage! ;)
the transitions were pretty cool, but the size and quality of the video (stupid YouTube) made it nearly impossible to read the text. i would be interested in seeing a Stage6 version, which could be higher quality.
i think in order to really get some good shots from a game like that you may have to put yourself in danger more often than is conducive to actually winning XD
however, for your first outing i think you did a good job. tasteful effects, good edits, but if this were a sig or something, i would tell you to work on your choice of "stock" if you know what i mean.

That happens in the game, when you shoot your sniper rifle you zoom out. (Because you're STANDING/CROUCHING you can't keep the scope to your eye. (You can't PRONE in the game so for that reason..)

True that

No winning is cool enough (He just wanted to show his "l33tskillz"

DFA1979 = my favorite. MSTRKRFT falls short of the original, but it's a worthy drug fix nonetheless.
You're right about needing to get myself in danger - the shots were all dull and positional. But, it was a CAL match and a team win is more important then my score.
Thanks for the comments, it's exactly what I wanted. I'll have to wait next monday before I get more CAL footage.
To see if I got the kill, you have to look top right - it will have a blob, an awp, and a blue blob. About the unscoping, the game does it automatically but it does it much slower and rescopes after loading a bullet into the chamber; I quickswitch right after each shot to my pistol or knife, and quickswitch again before it comes out to cancel the rescoping and get the bullet to load faster (skips the animation) In game I do this so quick, because of the online play, it sometimes doesn't register the sound of my gun going off because I switch twice right after the shot - but I recorded the video from a recording of the game, so the sound is guaranteed to play.

Nothing spectacular video-wise. Good for a first time though.
Just love how you follow the upper part of the body with the scope when they jump.

CAL-O is house league, you just need 5 players to sign up. Some teams are really bad, others are reform teams that need to do 1 season of CAL-O before move up; and they're really good. Our CAL match tomorrow is against a team with 5 5digits, with CAL-P/CAL-I/CAL-M experience =[

124xxx 2xxxxx
and I had a 5 digit but I can't remember the god damn account name; I made it first, and I got annoyed of my friends on it; so I started using my 124xxx account but I ended up forgetting my password.
The 2xxxxx is an account a friend gave me, I was hoping he would of had my name on his friends list.

dom is far away from being an aimbot imo
I've seen some crazy skilled people in css, stronger than dom, he just practtices a lot and knows where to shoot from his position

I'm assuming you're talking about cal-i/cevo-p players; i've played with them before. They're a lot better than I am, but they aren't as good as you see on youtube. Comparing them to the released videos is like comparing the real navy seals to a hollywood movie. They don't take chances and rare get in the position to get those amazing shots off; but it does happen occasionally. Stringing all those clips together, off of several gams, if how they come up with a video that makes them look more rambo than tactical.
