Music Discussion

So yeah, Ok, we've got the Santa Mixtape, the Bad Music, the What Are You Listening To, and other threads about music.

But, I get the that we don't have a real discussion about Music.

And because I now have some spare time cuz I won't be leaving my house today, I thought, Oh, Why not a real Music Discussion thread?

Rules for this thread:

    - You can start a discussion about any Genre, Artist, Band, Song, Music Video or AMV.

    - When you start a discussion, post (if it's possible, it probably is) a vid about it.

    - You may have got multiple discussions at once, but it would be handy to have one at a time.

    - When you start a new 'Topic' about something/someone but it in bold.

First new thing I'd like to discuss about:

Colbie Callait with her song Bubbly;;

One day fly or new pop legend?

Discuss, and find some of your own things to discuss about.

I actually like Colbie Callait's song. It's pretty catchy in my opinion, and like afiqk said, warms up your heart.
Aside from that, though, I don't think she's anything special. Just another one-hit single. There's nothing that separates her apart from other young female artists today - Avril Lavigne, JoJo, and maybe even Jordin Sparks.

Imo, every artist is unique.. Those 3 artists you recalled have a huge number of fans all over the world.. Except for Jordin Sparks maybe i never heard of that one xD

Anyways, somebody ever heard of Damien Rice in hurr? He's a genius.

I'm not saying that I don't like them. JoJo is one of my favorite artists. One of her songs is on my Top 25 Most Played list on my iPod. Avril Lavigne I used to like when I was smaller, but I absolutely hated her new CD - The Best Damn Thing. As far as Jordin Sparks goes, she's the latest winner of American Idol, and the youngest one ever at that. She has the single "Tattoo", which has been on the Top 10 for quite some time.

What I'm trying to say is that, yes, Colbie Callait is unique, and yes, I like her voice, but as far as talent goes, she doesn't seem to be above the bar of either JoJo or Sparks or anybody else. Just average.

May I please remind ya'll:

A new Discuss Subject should beplaced in Bold! (I'd first say: put it in a nice color, but then again, Satman, Ghod, Sylhana, Panu and me like to use colors so that would mess it up a bit...)

People'll recognize it faster when there is a new thing to talk about, because if (and I say if) this htread could become a biggy, people might overlook the new Discssions they might want to pertisipate in...

I've also got a new one:

What if your favourite arist/band sounds great in vids, on tv and on cd, but sunds like crap live...

How would you react??

a requirement for my favorite bands is to be good live so they would never be my favorite in the first place.

anywho

ghostbusters theme tune, a song that everyone loves?

on the way home from work a min ago there were 4 of us in the car and the ghostbusters theme tune came on and everyone loved it! Everyone in the car had different tastes in music too there was:

Death metal
Hard/Classic rock
Emo/Punk
Pop

but we all loved it!
