when i saw this, i thought it was pretty neato for a keyboard, but then again, it's just a keyboard with LED lights and in a cost range from $460 to around $1500's video was posted a year ago though so price may have dropped?
Kind of useless if you ask me. Sure the backgrounds and stuff are nice and you can probably configure it so the backgrounds paint a picture on your kybd, but how many people will actually reconfigure their 40 typing and number keys? Waste of money, might as well buy yourself an already nice looking keyboard...(that one didn't look too good...), and LCD...and probably a graphics card.....

same here man. that's what made me sad. i was enjoying the video from all the details and abilities of the keyboard, then at around 3:45 on the video, i heard the price and i was like, aww darn it

I like this keyboard because of its customization abilities. You can customize a specific key-setting for each game that you have, ie. configure the keyboard for all the hotkeys for an RTS and have another configuration for an MMORPG. Easy to switch configs too.
Its pretty neat, but a little expensive for me at the moment.
Ugly ass keyboard. I found the silver/black to look incredibly cheap, and the shape looks like someone cut it in photoshop with the polygonal tool after reading a 7 year old interface tutorial.
Although I don't like the way G15s look, they're still very good keyboards; as are tarantulas. Saitek's products are... well...
If we were all wiggers and our keyboards were cars, the G15 would be a very finely tuned ricer with neons, the tarantula would be a finely tuned sports car, the Saitek stuff would be some kid's mom's Kia that he borrowed and slapped a couple stickers on.

My monitor and case are black with the piano gloss and blue LEDs too =D
The thing I like about the G15 is though, all the extra keys are grouped to the side where I can actually use them :s But I agree, the Razer Tarantula DOES look cooler. But for gaming, I'd prefer the G15.

It's a good gaming keyboard, but I just find that it looks ugly. But you're probably right, I don't use macro keys. Looking at the two keyboards' features it's clear that the G15 is aimed at the mmorpg/rts market, whilst the razer is aimed for FPS gamers.
