Immortality: would you take it?

Taken from an other forum. Immortality given under these conditions; would you take it?
If an old guy come to you and give you the possibilltiy to have immortality, would you accept it?
Here is the conditions:
- You can never EVER be mortal again (not even if you go back in time);
- Whatever path the world takes you'll still be alive:
- If everybody died from a decease or a nuclear strike, you would still continue to live forever;
- If you commit a crime and are sentenced to be in prison for life its forever;
- If the planet is destroyed by an asteroid you would still be alive;
- If you go on a space mission and are left on outer space you would still be forever alive and conscious;
- you can't use your immortality in favor of every one, not even your sons;
Immortally would in this case meant:
- You'll still be able to feel every human emotion;
- You would still be able to feel pain, brake bones be wounded, get sick, except that he would always heal, not instantaneously, more like a few days later, always gradually becoming better.
- You can't get more healthier than the average healthy human.
- You would always look like an average 25/30 year old.
- You would have your current IQ (but an eternity to expand it)
- You would be limited in every aspect the humans are limited (whatever this means)
- Bullet shots or other extreme situations like car accidents, decapitations etc would cause you equal human reactions (pain etc..) except you would regenerate given a few time.
- Taking drugs would cause addiction in the same way it causes now;
etc, etc, I hope you get the point of this "immortality".
You are not special in any way except for the fact you won't die, and you are not perfect... just immortal.
Would you accept it?

HELL NO!!
you'll see all your friends get older, get sick, and die....
I wouldn't take it even to safe my life.
I wouldnt give it to anyone neither, I'm too selfish too let them come to my funeral, but I would never exidantily land on their funeral.
Don't get me wrong, but I just don't want to see the whole world and everybody in it die, because then it would be boring not to screw with other people, if there are no people.
And even though I kinda hate everybody, I'd miss everyone...
Even the ones in this world I truely hate....

Lets say you had all limbs cut off and your testicles and your were left in lets say Siberia where no one would be able to find you...So you would starve and live there for all eternity...

That was my first thought aswell. But if you read the text carefully, there won't be 'a try'. There is no way back. If you chose for immortality you won't ever die.
I personally wouldn't take it. I think life is good when you know it will end somewhere in the future.

And when the world is gone? You float around for some billions of years before you hit a planet or something by chance, with nothing on it?

What if that never happens? Who says it's gonna look like that? Maybe it'll turn out to be just wonderful, and I'm curious enough to take the risk.

And hey,
If you would belive the Buddists, you ALLREADY live forever,
you just don't remember everything in your life when you die...
A reincarnation can be seen as eternal life....

this topic reminded me of robin williams' groundhog day.
i'd probably kill myself every day til i got bored of it, or til i ran out of ideas of how to die.
lets see...first thing id prob want to do is slide down headfirst down the hoover dam.

I would probably do a lot more shit since there's no reason to be careful. Stuff like sky diving without a parachute, human shield, trying to beat the train before it crosses the road, etc.

no, imortality sounds like a good idea, but after 100+ years you'll realise it wasn't worth it.
