graffic driver?

well sro always tells me my graffics driver is too old and i should dload a newer version..but what does a graffic driver do? and does my graffic card need to be newer for it to work. my current card is a Medion GeForce - 8x Ti 4200. so can anyone give me some good info graffic drivers?
(and dont say google it, i've got more important things to do
, this is more fun anyway)

this detects what kind of drivers you need

Graphic. And what a driver does is basically communicate your software with your hardware. So for a graphics driver it would make communications between the nVidia program and the actual chip in your computer. So yeah, updating your drivers is important and necessary for your computer to function. And honestly don't be so paranoid, I doubt nvidia would put malware on their official site for you to download.

im not afraid of nvidia but i dont like to instal unknown stuff on my comp

Go to nVidia and download the f-ing driver. The guy is trying to help you and you think he's giving you a keylogger....? Come on man, google the sh*t and enjoy the new drivers.
