Ok been wanting topost this for a while. is it true that PC releases radiation ? Cause i heard some where that all electronics shoot of radiation but i dont belive thats true . Is it? And if it is is it harmful?

my dad bitches at me all the time because he says ill get cancer from the computers radiation. so i only have a certain limit a day. You are getting hit by radiation all the time. You are but its not that harmfull IMO

i doubt its that harmfull..

Microwaves give off radiation, cell phones give off radiation. Radiation is unavoidable, computers don't give off enough to really be all that dangerous. Go stand in Chernobyl, then you'll have radiation to be worried about.

Most things do give off radiation, so are you. Reminds me of psychos post about the guy asking him if he could die from a projector....

if you're talking about NUCLEAR radiation, that can only be given off by a radioactive element. If you're talking about radiation in general (heat, light, sound, or anything else that can be radiated) then that for the most part won't harm you. computers do not emit nuclear radiation, but sound waves and RF frequencies can pierce straight through your body.

I looked this up and I found only the Monitor gives off radiation and that LCD's give off almost no radiation (the older monitors with the big backs give out a lot).

If you're touched by this myth then just put a crystal rock on top of your monitor. It absorbs the radiation.

Its kind of true. If men keep their laptops in their laps, the heat from the laptop damages your testicles Which does not make your pee pee fall off but affects your sperm and how healthy and capable it is.

AFAIK, it can cause tempory sterility, but nothing that is permanent.

I meant something like that, I just wasnt sure exactly what, Ive read that article a long time ago.

If your parents tell you something thats just ridiculous to get you to stop doing something then it isnt real. Its been happening for years. Perfect example

Got that one all the time when i was a kid, it never worked but they still kept saying it :S

Ok, the radiation one is more realistic but its still pathetic, lots of things give or more radiation that your computer and are still within a safe limit. If you go outside your more likley to get skin cancer from the sun then you are getting some sort of illness from the radiation off your computer.

You get a shitload of nuclear radiation from the earth anyway.
