SilkroadForums was a little forum on the start, just a few members
but the forum starts to grow bigger and bigger
and now it is bigger then it was in the start.

People say there's too many assholes on SRF now, but tbh the more people n a community, the more jerks there will be.

it began as a forum, now its a castle made entirely out of cheesecake and toasters. at the front of the castle there is a talking dog that welcomes you with a shakespearian sonnet and a snake that can do the lambada.
..

it began when ryoko made birth to a website called "silkroadforums.com"
and then people became friends will silkroadforums.com, and more and more people became friends with it until silkroadforums.com was influenced by jerks and everyone starts to leave him

In the beginning....
After conquering the Warcraft 3 Modding community with Ryoko's TD
http://world-editor-tutorials.thehelper ... hp?view=10
and the World Editor Tutorials Site
http://world-editor-tutorials.thehelper.net/
SD_Ryoko and I am on a 56K, forum administrators from thehelper.net start playing SRO. Ryoko decides to split off, since he is the Captain of course and get his own forum so using the knowledge gained by making World Editor Tutorials #1 in the Search Engines for all things Warcraft Mapping he creates Silkroad Forums and payed alot of attention to how that site did in the Search Engines.
SRF was born and took off like a rocket from the start fueled by Top Search Engines results for all things Silkroad Forums.

SRF sucked until I joined, and when I take breaks/go-inactive it suffers until I return. It's the cycle of SRF life.

From phpbb 3 on wikipedia
phpBB3
phpBB3 is the current release of the phpBB bulletin board system. It went gold on 13th December 2007 at 17:00 GMT [19]. It contains many more features than its older sibling, phpBB2, and it also provides administrators with much more control over every aspect of the forum software, from how it displays to what user and group permissions are. However, this increased functionality makes the admin interface much more complex, and new users have found it more intimidating than phpBB2.
Some of phpBB3's major features include:
Modular design for the Admin Control Panel, Moderator Control Panel, and User Control Panel.
Support for multiple database management systems, including MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQLite, and Firebird.
Support for unlimited levels of subforums.
Ability to create custom-defined BBCode.
Ability to create custom profile fields.
Greatly expanded permissions system.

They got a problem with their host atm. I don't want to argue with you but wc3c have many great and talented members from terrainers to coders, but some of them are kinda a$$hole-ish(is that a word? lol)
