DIRECTX HELP

well i recently got a old pc game that needed directX 8.1, how i have the most up to date directX (9.0c) and so when installing the game i didnt install 8.1
well...when i tried to run the game it crashed (said i needed 8.1) so i installed it off the game disk...still crashed, got off the net, get the game still crashed.
if any one has an ideas why this is can you please help me with this directX problem

Btw always tell it to install the DX, it will prompt you telling that theres no need cause your current version is better.

my advise...stay with pw and use that game as a frisbee (sp?)

try installing a version superior to 8, see if it makes a differnce
and lol at use the game as a frisbee xD

Download the "SFC3_DX9_Fix.exe" file, that might work.

Yea that game would give you that crash even if you had 8.1 installed and not higher... i deleted direct x and installed 8.1 only and still didnt work >.<
