Need help with reformatting HP computer

i have a dv5000 laptop, but it's been acting wierd lately so i decided to reformat. but i dont have a disk for it and i didnt get it when i bought my laptop =/ . so is there a way to reformat without a disk?

yes, but you won't be able to reinstall windows or any other software if you don't have any disks

Make a partition where you back-up all of your stuff on.
Note:
DON'T backup ANY .exe's. You can always re-download those. And Might you have a bad one by any chance, you wont want it on that partition.
