Buying Desktop

Hey guys im looking to buy a half way decent desktop. i have $500 to spend, maybe $600, but thats all. this doesnt get you very muc, but maybe someone here know of a good site or store. or could even build one for that much. mail me at 600287@dentonstudent.org if you got one, or post it here

what would be a good computer. i think i have 700 tops, could you make one that would be decent to run sro and some background stuff???

i have a budget of maybe 700 for sure 500 but let go with 700. im looking for one, im tired of building them (means you dont get the funny asian guy to yell at) so yea, thats why im asking for someone else to do all the wr lol, and i just click pay. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :love:

no this is the off topic section, and this is off topic. and since ost gamers do need to own some sort of computer, i would believe that some of them would know a thing or 2 on how to buy them. would you like me to post it in the plaza instead with WTB COMPUTER

And you dont know really how to buy a computer uh hmm .. well only do like Gaige said , is plenty whit good site out there and good price.

its not that i dnt know how to buy a good computer. i built them forever. i just dnt want to mess with it. so i just want to click pay hence me posting here. geez yall are just a bundle of joy round here aye...!!!

yep, and your not to much newer. iv just always been over at silkroadsource.com. i just came over here. but yea, im just lloking for a good comp, BTW GOOGLE.COM SUCKS MY GIANT MONKEY ****'S

well, if you can afford it try to build one yourself, because its way better customized, and can actually save you a couple hundred, you can get pretty cheap parts if you are building it yourself.

a SRI ready would be real nice on the new games coming out.

SRI = using 2 video cards to buffer the graphics, look for motherboards that say SRI ready :)

of course you gotta pay for 2 video cards if you want SRI technology :D

go to Nvidia.com and they'll get you started

my cpu is alienware area-51, the one with the glowing liquid...it is sweet...but its 5-6k cant remember price...but get the best u can afford

a 700 desktop isnt that great. if u want to play games tehn get at least 1000+ 2gb ram 80+ harddrive

just get the best you can get with your money and try buying them on amazon or ebay, they get cheaper online

LOL you can get 2gb DDR2
ram for around $40. A 80GB Hard Drive cost only $50.

my friend got a very good pc for 550 euro...thats only the pc tho, no monitor/mouse/keyboard etc.

I mean, dont go for a pre-made one but do it yourself...it'll save you alot

Not true, except for the extreme games like crysis, most games are able to play just fine on a pc that's around $550-$700
