Friendship

In life, allmost the most important thing is friendship. Friends to talk, go clubbing, go cittying, laugh, and much more. But hanging out here for a while, I can't help but wonder... Who do you really like on this forum, or who on this forum are you really friends with? When I would name people I really* like, I would say Bastet, cin and Key-J.
Even though the 'Who Are You?' thread helps, there still burns the question:
Does real friendship on the web excist, even if you don't know them personally?
Or even an online relation ship?

Yeah it does exist, you can see it all the time, whether it's through a forum, a game or a chatroom. I have friends all over the globe, so far I've met just a few, I went to Perú, Argentina, Brazil, the US and hopefully I'll go to Spain next year. I've also been visited by friends from Chile and Mexico.
I met my best friend through SilkRoad, we're like brothers now and we met in real life last year.
I met my ex through a chatroom and we lasted 3 years and a half, we still hang out sometimes.

Yeah, I totally agree even though alot people didn't like him for what ever reason I have to say I got along with him and Masta they seemed like people I wouldn't mind hanging out with in real life. Real down to earth people who weren't caught up in things like who can't spell properly or who has bad grammar ( to an extent obviously you still have to know what the person is saying tho).They where just nice to everyone and spoke to everyone with the same respect they would with a " elite" member.

I don't think you can have real friendships over the internet. It's different, you can't see, feel or hear that someone.
I real like to hang with my friends, i feel comfortable with them by my side, you know, their presence.
And that I think, you miss on the internet.
Although friendship can be created on the internet, i dont think you can have one on the internet.

Most of them don't know me, or i never had conversation with them, but i liked them watching from the side, and these are the ppl i'd like to meet ir real life.
And sure, web friendship exist. Why, should we pretend to be friends only because it's on web?
But still, i need to integrate myself to this forum to find more awesome fellas

I dont really think of anyone here as a friend. More like acquaintances and some people i would rather not know at all.

Don't have friends on this forum, but in sro I have a few (good) friends. Even though I've never seen them irl I can both laugh alot with them and have serious conversations with em. I talk to them daily, I consider it a friendship, yeah. In a 'web' context.
On line relationships are doomed from the start 9 out of 10 times. I wouldn't recommend it~ and to take an online friendship to a relationship on line is.. a bit too serious imo.

Well of course. You're not talking to a robot behind a computer, you're still talking to another person, you can form a relationship that way. You learn about the person and share things with them and you become friends.
