People are completely unaware of their surroundings

What's up with people who never look around them? I'm always examining everything, looking at everyone, watching where I step, etc. I don't even do it consciously, it is just natural for me. I notice these people who walk and are completely oblivious to the world, they don't watch their step they don't look at the area, hell there could be a murder going on behind a bush they wouldn't see it. What if that person a standing next to that wall has a crowbar, you wouldn't even know it until it's too late and your skull is split in half. People are just bad at observing in general. Many times my mom buys sh1t that is already opened and to me it is clearly noticeable. Or it will say something in bild bold letters on the package and she somehow misses it.
Discuss.

In my opinion, it's better to look at yourself, and at what is important for you. You wasting your time, looking at others, examining everything, that is not important for you. Ofcourse, i'm not saying - screw others, i better watch myself. You must care about people that are close for you, but i never pay big attention on ppl that walk on the street
Also, i'm not wasting time on little things, like you said, bold letters. Ah, screw that...i need that thing, i dont care what is writed there

i'm quite aware of my surroundings normally.
i normally notice others are not, when i'm in traffic. there is so many people
that like.. almost hit cyclists with their car because they didnt see them, so
many people that hit the brakes a little too late which make all traffic behind
them brake like hell.. so many people that get distracted, are lazy, let their
speed drop from 80 to 60 cause they almost fall asleep, etc.
i never really noticed people not being aware of surroundings when i'm walking
the streets tbh :]

I try to be conscious of my surroundings all the time... but its funny to see those people with their heads in the clouds, without a care in the world.

everybody's allways following me, even when they walk in front of me... and when someone is brave enough to talk to me he says: "are you the one who got busted while stealing a package of smokes??"

There are two kinds of people who piss me off.
People who walk unreasonably slowly up stairs (usually in groups spanning the width of the stairwell) oblivious to the line of people behind them, and assholes who talk loudly into their cell phones in confined places (probably with no one on the other end) oblivious to all of the disgusted looks in their direction.

its part of the current flow of common thought, where every one is becoming more detached to reality, the natural world no longer seams real to most, only them and their social dealings, walking around campus its amazing just watching at peoples eyes how few of them actually look around,
society has become so artificial, and so pampered that the only thing that matters to people is their social life, their eyes wont' even glance over at anything unrelated in a unconcious way to deny its there.
I blame suburbia and urbanization, there is more i'd say but some retarded people unaware of the problems they have would accuse me of being wrong or crazy or just get mad because I'm actually paying attention, and that their precious bubble seams less secure or important
edit: even if i'm playing loud music, and playing a game i can still tell when some one comes in and who they are, When i walk I may be day dreaming sometimes but i'm watching stuff around me

I don't like groups of people who take up a whole sidewalk and expect people to walk around them. Anyway I am usually just looking forward when walking.

You might be actually a type of genious. Make a good IQ test and if you have it high then you are called a genious.
If not, paranoic

I wasn't aware that this thread turned into "name the behaviors of people that piss you off"
Anyway, I wouldn't call it being paranoid. If anything I would call it being aware, but I'm not too sure about that because I don't tell myself "ok I'm going to look around and examine people and the area and look down to make sure I don't get my foot caught on a loose rock" I just do it naturally so I'm not "trying to be "aware."
