I'm not sure if this has been posted or it hasn't and seeing as there haven't been too many serious threads these last few days, and Cin locking Darkblazers thread...I'm curious what the SRF community thinks of these 2 companies. Even though you don't play SRO or Runescape just drop your 2 cents if you can?

My brother recently got members on Runescape on my account. I haven't played in over a year but before that I was really into it. What ticked me off was the 10 year olds following you, begging, threatening, and reporting. TBH they were 10x as bad as the turks and their 10k PLYYSSS!!!

To SRO I was introduced a year ago by a friend from Runescape. I was intrigued by the graphics and the gameplay and basically the uniqueness of the Triangular trade. I never even knew what a bot was then, I only played for a month.

I played SRO and got Guild Wars which imo is the best MMORPG if your really into pvp...but this thread is about Jagex and Joymax and I'm really running off topic.

This summer, August actually i started SRO again. First thing I realized were the spam bots. Second thing i realized were all those characters athjewtj and linda007, linda 008, etc... Next thing I realized was the lack of updates and all the negative comments coming from these forums and of course in game about Joymax.

After not playing Runescape for well over a year I saw how many changes have been made and how many updates, even graphic-wise. I was lost in the game...So many new skills, quests, items, and minigames, I had no clue what to do. I was not a low lvl in Runescape lvl 105 tyvm but all these updates just got me very angry. In one year a browser game managed to have 20x as many updates then Silkroad... And bugs and letters you send to them get answered within the hour unlike in Silkroad where they get ignored

From what I see Jagex tries its best to make Runescape a better game while enforcing rules.

Maybe Joymax should take a page out of their book..

I never had any problems with jagex when i used to play runescape. People threatened to report me for scamming before because i wouldnt give them free stuff but nothing ever came of it. I reported my share fare of people and they all seemed to get dealt with accordingly. I saw a few mining bots mining or woodcutting from time to time but they were never there for very long.

The only problem i ever had was kids playing as female chars going around asking everyone if they want to be their boyfriend and then they can "share" items and have cyber*** when its so obvious they are all 12 year old boys. although, that aint really jagexs fault and technically they werent doing anything that you could report them for.

Some people seem to think jagex bans too much but if they were more selective to make sure legit players are not effected by bans it would be the same as joymax, they wouldnt be banning enough and people would complain about that instead.

yea and the banning part you can actually get appealed...Just have to tell them over and over you've learned your lesson blah blah blah and you won't do it again, after a few times you do get it.

Yes the the female chars begging to share account with you and be your boyfriend...many of those...

I've also found a new thing too.. Spam bots on the free worlds...Gold selling sites of course...They're there one day but gone within the next hou.

I recently returned to Runescape, but im dissapointed in there recent updates, as they are ruining the game. Both the companys really dissapoint me. My account on runescape got permanent muted because little kids follow me around and report me for small things.


Im currently trying to find a better game that i can play. Ive tried to get counterstrike( lol im sure many of u know of this ), but that didnt work out... and um.. i cant find many other games im interested in without paying a hefty budget. I may just quit playing computer games and such overall.

the little duel arena thing?? pfft...give it a few more days or a week...They're gonna change it yet again, but to benefit both sides..

yea lol the duel arena thing... wat makes me mad is that i made a new account and spent quite some time on it just to make it ownage in staking, and then this update comes out. I dont understand how 4000 pages... thats an unbelievable amount.. and still no change. Its been a week. Also i got hacked on rs about a 2 weeks ago.. I lost all my items and money. My friend gave me 1mil to get me back on my feet. I am just gonna work to get him his 1mil back and quit then.

My main account was almost 90 range.. after many months of hard work, and then it gets permanent muted. What they did was they didnt inform me that i was "breaking offensive rules", and when i had enough to get me permanent muted they piled all those at once on me. I had like 6 unread messages. The things i got muted for were things i said like literally over 1-2 years ago.

yes, jagex is muc better than JM, i would really love it if they change places, i wonder how jagex would do

lol sounds like you got logged of tricked by one of those get all the gold you want scams, plus you should have set a bank pin

Yes Jagex is waaaaaaay much better than Joymax, i once had a problem with my character and i called for their help, i got an answer within one hour and the problem was fixed within 3 hours !

Also if you look at the gameplay, RS beats SRO totally. RS is more challenging and more fun with all those quests. I really enjoy the quests of RS, and i think if Jagex made a 3D version of RS, it would the best game and MMORPG ever.

Asfor Joymax, they will learn it one day i guess..

I quit the game for a while. Came back to find someones been on my account and sold all my rune armour. Go to the bank and its the stuff inside is still there there, including all my money so i could go and buy it all back without having to restart. I cant see why joymax cant add a bank pin of some sort(unless they already have, been a very long time since ive played) would instantly make security alot better.

lol ive never fell for one of those gold site scams.. Ive never visited any of those sites. Its just I have no idea how i got hacked. My password is like uncrackable in my eyes.

Oh agin the stupid Duel arena 3k thing.... God i only staked once and it was for 10k whit my friend..... Nothing special.. You win or you lose... The new tournaments sound more fun

Also Grand Exchange is great i love it its very useful and saves a lot of time.... still merchants complain agin becaue the line of easy money making is shorter now

O and Summoning skill cant wait for that,it sounds great

i voted jagex....thier the best of the two, but in my honest opinion Gpotato service > all and rappelz is a nice game too, i got mistakingly jailed and a gm fixed it within 15 minutes =0

No, I'm kidding, played runescape when I was small. Fun. I had addy trimmed (at that time, I thought I was a god lol) but foolishly got hacked from a scammer . I've yet to rebuild my char with full rune!

ive played rs for 6 years they mgiht have better service but they are complete idiots.memebers of my clan have been ban because jagex thoguht they were real life trading and most of them are 123+ and all those years were going down the drain due to lack of effort looking into the situation.

overall id give it to joymax.

ive played RS and got a lvl 113 acc ,but it got booring,and Jagex had a lot of updates but mostly useless and more 4 10 years olds,and now my friend who still plays RS says that Jagex is f*cking it up with stupid new things.

yea they are... There taking RWT way to seriously.. Maybe it should be Joymax doing the above , and jagex taking it less seriously, when its barely an issue. Sence when do u see ppl complaining about RWT, in Runescape?

jagex is more involved than joymax ... but as reise said, they both suck.
