I belive youth is the future for economy and business, thus gaming companies will be pretty much in control of the global monopoly eventually
Oh and by the way, Pong is from 1972
Also, I just did some research and "Computer Space" was the first game

Teens going through their rebel phase will refuse to play video games (much like how they refuse to smoke, or eat fast foods)
The gaming population will age, and once we hit our 50s, the young kids will bring it back in the same way we brought back aviator classes, bell bottoms, and the beatles.
Note, the ones that will stop playing video games are not the ones born now, but rather the children the younger members of this forum will have.

Don't be stupid, there are plenty of books that are publishing complete and total lies.
There is simply a larger barrier of entry, even though it's a book you should still cross check your sources a couple times to make sure it's true.
Personally i can't wait for the next couple generations of gaming, gonna be insane!

You may also note that each generation of people is everyday more inteligent, their brains are more in use, they have plenty much things to study, and that makes you smarter.
So, if we every year advance faster then the previosly, and in about 30 years it improoved from pong to that game you posted, lets say that in about 2050, 2048 we will have special helmets to connect you to a virtual reality where you canc ontrol your character with your brain, feeling like if you had been teleported to the game, feeling the cold and the hot, some damage maybe too, tasting the food, and going on with thousands of new tools, but with the virtual graphics look, which obviously will improove too.
Damn Im so cool..

your confusing less ignorant with actual intelligence. Ppl today just have more information available to them doesn't mean they can use it or comprehend it i'd say they're just as dumb as ppl have always been.

Off-Topic: QFT but they're dumber, because they've convinced themselves they're smart. In the past, dumb people had a pretty good idea they were dumb. Today, every retard has convinced himself that he's a genius because "each generation of people is everyday more inteligent."
People think they're smart because they watch CNN and read Time magazine. Not only is that information trivia, its regurgitated bile after being editorialized by sensationalist, out-of-touch academicians. And the left-wing and right-wing alternatives are no better in content, just more populist in approach. There are only a handful of reliable sources of information, and most people dismiss them as "boring".
On-Topic: Pong was available commercially in 1972 in arcades and 1975 in a home console. That was really the beginning of video games. As someone who owned an original pong console and has played video games his whole life, I can tell you the ride has been pretty amazing.

I think of it as evolution, people are gradually getting smarter.

No, but lets say that everithign that Einstein discovered, you can understand it much easier than the people that tried to understand Einstein's stuff when he was still alive.
