Hey, I dunno if any of you have heard about it or not, but there's a site, freerice.com, which is a game where you test your vocabulary knowledge, and at the same time, you feed hungry people.

It's like a never ending quiz, that says "____ means:" and then you are given 4 options to choose from, the more you get right, the harder it becomes. It's fun to see how smart you are, or at least I thought so, lol.
For every question you get right, 10 grains of rice are donated to the hungry worldwide, and you become smarter

The site has been out for alittle over a month, and already 1 billion grains of rice have been donated.

Just thought I'd let you know.

got to 220 grains of rice and got bored. I dont get crap like this though, if they have the ability to give the rice to end world hunger then why waste time with this crap? Why not just give the flipping rice to the hungry people right away!

i read the FAQ, apparently the advertisements on the website pay for the rice

thats what i said. If you have a website that has enough traffic then big companies will pay you to host their advertisements. That money pays for the rice.

You can cheat too if you don't care about learning, just get them all wrong and go down to level 1, then you'll be able to get them all right, then when you get up to level 25 or so you can delevel again.

What I meant was that Freerice isn't paying for the rice, the website puts on the banners for free, and they tell the companies how much rice to buy. Y'know what I mean?
Or is that what you meant?

But you get them faster at lower levels. I generally like to take longer and see how high I can go, record is 38 so far.
But I can donate like 1000 grains of rice in 10 minutes on a lower level.

Its hard for me as well and my first language is English, but it is obviously an american site and im british and some of the words mean somin totally different for me..

I was laughing for about 2minutes when it said wily...
