Ok... i have insomnia (a sleeping disorder for those that dont know)
and ive been awake now for like 2 days solid... im bored out of my mind
just wanted to know what you guys think i should do
p.s. sleeping pills dont work for me... my body seems to be immune or some shit to the chemical that puts you to sleep
Uhm, at the risk of sounding like a hypocrite as I dont nearly sleep as much as I should. Just some general tips, I'm making some assumptions here (I would rather know a bit about you but meh), but this could apply to anyone so:
1. cut back on the caffeine and stimulants 2. i dont know the sleeping pills that you are taking, but you should try temazepam (short acting benzo, less tolerance forming) if you havent already. If you havent been on benzos before, then cut back on alcohol (if you drink) 3. dont nap, even when you are tired 4. try to sleep at the same time each day (ie night time) 5. dont do anything else on your bed other than sleep and sex (if possible do it somewhere else) 6. dont study before you sleep, do that earlier in the day 7. do some exercise in the afternoon 8. if stress is what keeps you up, either solve them, or look for ways to relief them 9. drink milk before you sleep, seems to help some

its a sleeping condition where you cant get to sleep, even if you try, or only get a few hours sleep a day
so i cant just lay in bed, close my eyes and im asleep
sometimes i feel like im sleeping right now -.-
Good, you can sleep. Thats a good sign That means your circadian cycle is messed up but the hormonal system there is still intact. I still think temazepam would help. If you've been on temaz or a similar drug class, try going on with sedating antihistamines like dephenhydramine (or similar), just ask your gp for help on this.
If you prefer alternative medicine (me trying to be holistic *cough*) you could try kava or valerian. Has some evidence although not that strong :/.
Note: like any meds, just look out for allergies, and the proper dosing
