procrastinating

anyone know how to sto procrastinating?

I looked up on google and a lot of the things they say are true about me

-put off work because it feels overwhelming

-more fun things to do, like play games

-i am unwilling to put time into my work

i tried a lot of things like deleting call of duty off my computer. One thing that helps is that I keep reminding myself that this work is not hard and that I can do it.

whats pretty sad is that when people ask me my grade its a 4.0 GPA. But I want to maintain it and my procrastination is really hindering my ability to get good grades in high school and I want to maintain that 4.0

does anyone know a really good way to stop procrastinating? I end up sleeping at 12:00 am almost everyday because i push my work until like 10:00 pm

and whats even sadder than my awesome GPA is that I
know that im procrastinating. For example, now, browsing SRF and not doing my work :(

Same advice as that other thread, think about all the times you felt like crap when you didn't do something and wished you can go back in time to change it but couldn't over and over again while you read this, now you can change it.

That's not true, well it can be, but not always. My friend is like that and has like a 4.0, he's just a really smart guy.

It is true.
you procrastinate you fail yourself.
you fail yourself, no one cares your friends are glad underneath because less competition for the better classes.

and it really determines what you call a decent grade...

I can't remember the number of times I just didn't do shit in high school. As long as you put effort into the shit that matters you can get decent grades regardless. Tests, 7 page reports, and other crap that they say 75% of your final grade counts on. There was at least a couple times me and my friend would pair up for a project and just say to the teacher we weren't doing it. Still passed the class though.

UNPLUG YOUR ETHERNET CABLE FROM YOUR COMPUTER!

If it's really that bad, do that. I've had to do that a few times, it helps :)

i always procrastinate. It got me through school with highish grades and 3 years of college so it cant be bad. I have the willpower to stop procrastinating when i want to but... i dont want to, lol

I tend to procrastinate alot while doing my website (link is down below in my sig). Ive owned the domain for nearly 2 years and i still dont have a proper site there. I have actually finished the layout, the php 'n' whatnot but i couldnt be bothered do the content. And when i do eventually get to the content ill think the layout sucks and ill start that again.

edit: i broke my return key while posting this ¬_¬

procrastinating

Is a word made up to make people feel better about slacking and not setting priorities.

even if it was just called slacking, it wouldnt make any difference to me. Everyone else is working away while im playing games and i get the same results. The one time i did actually revise when i was in school was for a practice maths exam, and i did worse than i usually did, i found i was tired and couldnt be bothered.

Oh no don't get me wrong I'm the same. Right now everyone around me is busy scripting in java .. and I'm here on srf and playing that Winterbells shit. Yet I'm always done when they are.

Difference is, I don't call it or blame it on procrastinating ... It's just the way I am.
