I found a pretty good website, for all the essentials, i think theres a couple of parkours here, im not really shure but, i find this site really helpful, im currently learning the planche, or the "elbow lever" so for all you parkours, gymnasts, or for those who just want to learn, good luck and safe training.

Interesting place, I find
this really helpful. They have tutorials for parkour basics, and warm ups and tips.
Urban Freeflow isn't too bad either.
These are only for Parkour though.

"The Flag" looks awesome I'm gonna attempt it but I haven't worked out in the longest time and it looks like it requires alot of upper body strength meh. Finally an excuse to actually go to the gym again

nvm had a look at it, mostly gymnastics, strength training and flexibility. Isn't dangerous if you know what your doing, maybe pull a muscle or two.

I think it is fun, and thrilling ^_^. Though, I'm not that keen about it myself.
P.s I think Anemus is a parkour enthusiast.

even muscle lengthening ie. the thing when u put your legs apart on the ground both ways and side ways with your back straight?
Reps to you if you learn to do it after your 7.

It's fun. You get a thrill out of it and a sense of accomplishment. You train and build your body (or atleast you should) for quite a bit before going out and jumping off a two story building. There are methods and training behind it. If you practice nothing bad should happen to you and you'll have fun!

Way to judge a book my its cover, parkours not about jumping off stuff, its physical and mental training, conquering your fears, and your body. And its a different route, the world is your playground, I think its great, and david belle is a genius.
@Hostage : The flag requires more lower body strength than upper body, to get your legs up and hard, I cant keep my legs still when its up =/

Ghost I think a few vids like that have been posted here so you're just judging off that but this sport really doesn't seem all about that I think it's really interesting and just a fun way to stay in shape and really enjoy yourself while doing it no where do I think it says you have to run of a building while doing a flip into a car or nothing like that. It's just good clean fun.
Well Dys I just finished reading through it seems you do need to work on your shoulders a but but I think the balancing part has alot to do with you core, no ?

+1
Shoulders yes, but when your doing it, youll feel it in the core, so if you have good lower body strength you can do it for longer, upperbody is important to, triceps and deltiods >.>[/b]
