I wanted to buy a razer tarantula, they don't retail them in Canada; or atleast not here.

2007/10/16 08:04 On vehicle for delivery
2007/10/15 16:48 Shipment In Transit
2007/10/15 13:36 Received at Warehouse from DAVID of NCIX.COM NETLINK COMPUTERS 4620 VIKING WAY, suite 105 RICHMOND BC

ncix.com = Canada's newegg. Cheap + FASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSST

$20 express air shipping...compared to tigerdirects $100+ ($100.75 for my tarantula + deathadder)

I thought I should of posted, as no one could ever tell me who ships to Canada with great prices. It was always newegg or other american exclusive retailers. NCIX is great, and they have amazing deals:

They're decent...but for $60 they're amazing. That's less than half price of my local futureshop/bestbuy's CHEAPEST combo of 2gb ddr2. Without delivery and taxes (which by the way, they only charge federal tax) it's almost 75% off.

You can overclock all ram, these ones are "overclocking ram" but it's the lowest line in. This specific model anyways.

How do you overclock your pc? Do you use a screwdriver or a program?

Some programs will do it for you. But, usually, it's best to go into bios and play with your clock and voltages, then boot into windows and check how the performance/temps are doing with utility programs like cpu-z

If you overclock too high, it usually won't turn on (with clocks) and all you have to do is pull your mobo's jumper to set it back to default; and if you set a shutdown temp in bios it will turn off before reaching critical heat. So, it's pretty safe to do if you do it right.

Everytime I hear a bump I run to the front door thinking it's the purolator guy :(

I've had an mx510, razorback and death adder. This is by far the best mouse. The keyboard, although VERY performant, sleek, and in general sexy...has a learning curve. I can't wait to get used to it.

looks so good :D

LOVE THEM BOTH! The mouse fits your hand perfectly and is comfortable, along with the keyboard which is rather long (in size) but they look great together

Board is top notch. It's like a ferrari, you can't go wrong, unless you get a lemon. In that case, they will replace it. Everyone who's complained about it had one from a bad batch, because the problems they had are not typical. To add to that, the board has been out for a while now, the production has most certainly corrected its mistakes.

The only "problem" with it is the price. Personally I don't care. $20 more then the G15... $20 is nothing to cry about, but when you're using your Christmas money I guess it is.

It's definately a board for the true gamer. A person who buys a computer for its specs, and although he might have cold cathodes and LEDS, he doesn't buy a PC just because it's flashy. If you're the kind of person running a dell with christmas lights inside because you think it looks good, you would be better off buying a cheaper flashy keyboard like the saiteks. But if you don't care that it isn't backlit (although the macrokeys are lit, and the logo fades in and out), and you want a PERFORMANCE keyboard, then go with the tarantula.

answering questions with a question doesn't answer my question....

I seriously wanted to know what makes your keyboard top of the line. I don't know that much about computers so when ppl started talking about your board i assumed it could do more than just type. Comparing a race car to a mini van doesn't work. A mini-van is made to hold lots of ppl and be roomy, a race car is made to go as fast as possible. In my world a keyboard is made for typing so i'll ask again can you explain what makes a top keyboard so top-notch cause i really doubt if it out-types any other board....
