Well it COULD have been as bad as columbine, if you see how many use-able weapons he had.
LINK
(CNN) -- Police have taken into custody a 14-year-old boy who is suspected of planning a "Columbine" type event at a Pennsylvania high school, a police spokesman said.
In addition to the weapons, authorities found a hand-painted Nazi flag and a video about the Columbine shootings, District Attorney Bruce Castor said.
Sick, sick little disturbed bastards.

Nah that was a different incident.
If you would have taken a look at the link I provided you would have known ..... A on/off friend of today's 14 yr old saw what happened on Wednesday, so he alerted the police.
Turns out the guy I was talking about also 14 yrs old tried to recruit people for his rapamune. Lucky hes not that bright or we would have 2X++ dead students on our hands now.

It's not the guns that kill people.
Even if you "ban guns", theres still illegal ways of getting them. Or whats stopping someone from killing someone with a knife? or even a baseball bat?
Its the person committing the act and we should be dealing with their mental condition and stopping them from preventing the act in the 1st place. Banning guns wouldn't do a lot.

That's just stupid. We have got real life facts.
It's legal to have guns in the US. There are 10x (or more, don't remember the actual numbers) more gun murders in the US.
Now compare that to any other country.

And who's to say its the guns fault? Who's to say its not the culture to blame? Or the American society? You are assuming its the number of guns, when it may not be. I am not saying the guns aren't
contributing, but they aren't the soul blame like everyone thinks.

Although there is a problem, a big one, in the US regarding gun violence, it's no where near what Michael Moore claims it to be.
You have to remember that the US has a population of 300,000,000+, compare that to countries like the Netherlands (16,000,000), Spain (40,000,000), UK (60,000,000), etc. Add to that a mixture of poverty and immigration and bad gun control legislation and you got yourself an explanation. If you look at other regions in the world that face the same racial and social tensions that most of the US has, you come to understand. For example, the arab ghettos outside of Paris.

I know. . I really don't know if the US has more gun murders / population than other countries. But I think we can agree on that guns doesn't make you life safer
But a quick law change wouldn't change anything really. It will take a long time.

It's completely the person who OWNS the gun, and nothing else. The gun doesn't tell people to shoot others. I think, maybe to
keep a gun, you HAVE to have some kind of note from a doctor saying you are mentally sane.. and maybe have yourself rechecked every few years to determine mental stability?
I'm not sure what could be done, but I'm glad things like this are prevented.. kid who ratted him out is a smart one.

gun just dont have their place in civil's hand. In Québec when I get into a fight im not really afraid to get shot... well depend of the eprson though <_< butwhen somsone take out a gun in a place, no one will take his out too to defend himself, people will just flee/obey (well except in gang fight <_<)
and if someone try to reproduce columbine with a baseball bat or a knife chance that he,ll get stopped earlier are betetr. i mean I could go barehand against someone with a baseball bat or even a knife if my life or people i love was in danger. but chance that i try to stop someone with a gun are really low...

I support a gun ban because it would reduce crime in my opinion. And killing more than 1 person at a time with a knife is much harder than doing it with a gun. I read Philadelphia's gun laws a while ago and I was amazed and disgusted at the samed time. It's so easy for a 14 year old to obtain a gun legally. Sure they'd get it illegally eventually but I just think it would reduce crime as a whole.

its also the fact that a gun is ''normal'' I mean someone with a gun were its prohibited will try to avoid using it in public and will hide it. if ur law allow it you wont really bother sinc eits legal and you wont have that much trouble.
I would hate to live in a place where everyone in the street could be wearing a weapon that could instantly kill me from range and i wouldnt even know where it come from.
and people wonder where american paranoia come from.

I do agree we should limit guns to a certain extent in the US
and I do agree that gun laws are a huge factor in school shootings
but when people diss the US about gun laws, its just our culture and its in the bill of rights too
so stop generalizing americans im seeing this happen more from people from other countries
so lets say Chinese toymakers are retarded because they use lead paint. Does that mean ALL chinese people are dumb? No of course not!!!!

So your ok that a 14 year old can get a gun and kill people are you then?
what if they killed someone that you know? or even killed you?
Be realistic ok, guns are a HUGE problem and the current system in the US
just doesn't work ok.

For me, the problem is that we have 14 year olds who want to buy guns and kill people. It's like metal detectors in schools. Should you really NEED to have them? Instead of putting money into something useless like that, they should invest into a filter program in elementary school to flag unfit children and deny them the rights that the country was founded on.

It may look like that to someone who doesn't live here. I'm fine with it because it's not like it's happening every day. Leave it to a bunch of mentally disturbed teenagers to steal some guns and shoot their school up. And to ultimately get a bunch of people to whine about America's gun laws, which most people know jack shit about.

Most people who have a license for a gun are not the ones killing and shooting up schools.... Its the one who are getting them illegally.
You think banning them are gonna stop them?
Isent weed illegal? And a VERY large portion of people still smoke it.

I collect them, it's a hobby. If someone somehow manages to steal my rifles, they won't be able to do much good with them.
