Well, it got released (with the orange box) today and i just finished it (i was in college the rest of the day) and i have to say it was epic, lol. Its worth the play just to experience the credits at the end! I wont give it away, go and play it now!

the portals wernt the only fun bit, the computerised voice that talks to you throughout is pretty funny, and during the credits it sings a song! lol

Anyways, yeah portal is amazing, used to play it on GMOD ... ALOT lol. Prolly buy Orange just for this lol :>

Its much better than the ones that were in gmod, and that seperate portal mod, think it was called excite or something like that. Just finished episode 2 aswell now.

I dont know what theyve done to the source engine with the orange box but my FPS in portal and episode 2 is about double what it was in half life 2 and episode 1. And it looks better!

I noticed its running in Directx 9+ mode, i dont think the other ones had the + in it like that. dunno if that has anything to do with my dx10 graphics card or not.

I beat them both yesterday, i ton of fun, E2 was by far imo the best one yet... of course at the end always leaving the question "will there be another??" Hopfully a HL3 or just a HL2:E3. the whole HL series is my favorite of all time, beats the shit outta Halo imo. Portal was fun too, i loved all the puzzles!

I was disappointed by the end of ep2, if you know what I mean, but at least the series looks like it's going in a cool direction.

I was expecting something big to show off the new features of the source engine like at the beggining of episode 1 and ending of episode 1, i suppose the rocket and the portal explosion just before the ending looked cool but not as good as the explosion at the end of episode 1.

Ive yet to hear anyone say anything bad about this game apart from that it may be a bit short, nobody can seem to find anything wrong with it, its perfect!

Im GLaD i got it on steam now, my friends may be laughing at me cus its more expensive than in a normal shop but im laughing at them cus they still dont have it yet

. Mine was ready to play the exact moment it got released, shame i was in college at the time

If you buy the "Orange Box" would it still require a "valid" steam account play the games in that package? or is it standalone?
