...graffic card

well my computer is pretty old and so is my graffic card. i noticed that when i tried to put my sro settings on high and my whole computer got screwed up:
the graffic control program got overloaded
here's my graffic card (i think):
Medion GeForce4 8x Ti 4200
tell me how bad this is
and what i should ask for x-mas whitout it being too expensive

well in my books as someone who is in a poor family well sorta never had vast amounts of cash at hand
0-50 cheap
50-150 medium
150+ expensive

Mine cost double your expensive

I couldnt afford to buy any new games to play on it for a while after i got it, lol.

i just need something not to new and not to old some from say 2005/2006
as long as it can play most games cuz i'l sirously need a good graffic card for assasins creed/ and probably for sonic the hedgehog too if it comes out for pc

if you buy a gfx card from 2005 your not playing assassins creed...at all.
get a geforce for a couple hundred bucks and itll play on low settings

Buy a new computer.
If it's old, it will be AGP. The last cards to come out on AGP will not be able to properly handle the current games at decent settings.
If you can't afford a new computer, get a job. If you're too young for a job, quit bitching and study.

oh and you guys forget the prices just give some graphic cards that are not completely new but not older then 2005
and just mention the price with them

well considering i bought two 8800's for $300 usd a piece, mine was $600 with tax, and I'm running SLI so lol i love my graphix!!! i love to play dirt at hi, it looks so beautiful!!!

I'm sure you can get an X800 for $70, not sure how much in Euro's though.
