First trial is on its way. I hope RIAA loses. We should all drive to MN and protest.

I think they filed the case way too long away. The courts must not care so much to finally give it a court date.

Do the people who work at these companys have ANY social life? If you have any amount of friends im betting about 75%+ of them have illegally downloaded somgs at some point in their life, but they dont seem to know this.
They can prosecute 1 person at a time but what is it gonna do? They would have to prosecute millions of people around the world and courts/legal firms just wont have the manpower to deal with it all. And most bands dont actually give a shit you're downloading their songs, they still get more than enough money and the record companys are barely making loses.
I remember when the offsrping found out that "Pretty Fly" was one of the most pirated songs of the year a while back (not sure how they managed to find out it was the most pirated but thats not the point) and they still made crazy amounts of money on the album so you know what they did? They put their next album up on their website for people to download for free. Was taken down after a while though when the record company found out and went crazy on their asses though. And then there is that weird al song "dont download this song" which is practically begging you to illegaly download the song through sarcasm.

i used to download shit load but iv bought most of them back in the real cd form
downloading an album is no where as good as owning the album in real life i mean put them on a shelf and watch your collection grow
also they need to press charges when ever they can because otherwise no one will be able to use music
