Console gamers...you are getting ripped everyday

No offense to all the console (xbox, playstation, nintendo etc) fans out there, you guys are getting ripped every moment of your life you play that game.
Why?
A console is basically a computer that uses a TV for its moniter. Its nothing more than that. A game on a TV screen rather than a computer screen. No big deal, right?
So using this handy piece of information,
why the fu.ck are you playing video games on a console?
Youre literally paying for an incomplete computer when you buy a console. This big hype over new consoles is simply ridiculous. Why not just use a computer to play your games? All you need to buy is the game and download it for the PC.
Not to mention the controllers and the individual games you gotta buy to fully enjoy your console, you are losing money.
Multiplayer on console? Xbox Live? Bs. For most games, 8 or 16 max players on a map. On PC? Max 64 players. What seems more interesting?
The advantages of a console? None. Graphic quality difference between console and PC is nearly nil, as long as you have a smooth computer. Whats more mobile? The PC. What has more memory? The PC (and not those gay memory sticks you shove in a console to save your games). No hassle, no nothing.
Economically, youre saving money and saving the environment. A single computer alone generates shitloads of elctric bills-imagine using both a TV (to play those retarded sports games) and a computer (to play SRO

)
More than twice the electric bill.
Trash those gay consoles and get a PC.

Agreed, and the reason why people buy them is socially related and because there are games exclusive for consoles.

I would definitely buy a ps3 for the exclusive games.

Not everyone can afford a $1000+ computer.

Consoles are good for games you can't get on PC. Or if you can't afford to keep upgrading a PC. Either choice is good and depends on how much money you want to spend.

he's got the right idea and personally i hate playing games on a PC the whole point click and hotkeys things is a big turn off for me. I'd rather sit in front of my big TV screen with a controller. Besides nothing beat SSB with 4 ppl

I like console community no one ever talks on fps on pc. It's fun to clan war on systems. But platformers, tps, and RPGS(Non-mmo), and sports games are better on systems imo.

I don't like playing alone, and when I play multiplayer console it's never at my house. I don't have a use for console, but i'm not going to give shit to people who buy them.

Consoles never lag, they're made specifically for gaming (well some can play videos, music etc.), and new ones always have next generation computer components, always one step ahead... last console i had was a playstation 1 tho.. been using emulators ever since :d

Yeah, because consoles are mostly meant for single player. Nearly all multiplayer games suck for consoles.
And in the long run, PCs are cheaper.

Yes I do, I was just commenting that when I bought my xbox and the stuff for it I think it would still be cheaper then a computer.
Now a 360 and all the crap for that, probably not.

actually I bought my laptop (which is very solid) costed about $500-$600
but considering how long a PC can go is better than console
and the $500 isn't just for games, you get internet, word documents, music, plus the games

Telling console owners to get a pc is useless. Most people have both. Computers are good but you have to buy a good one to enjoy it, if you get console you dont have to worry bout lag or anything like that.
Also, the games on consoles are alot better than the ones or pc. I would play Oblivion(xbox) over The Sims(pc) any day.

besides i dont feel like spending 1000$+ for a good comp.

Exactly. A PC is wired to the internet. Jstar1 has kindly mentioned a few of the amazing features of computers off the top of his head. There are many, many more, obviously.
And what should you do when
several consoles come out at once? Obviously there are games available on the Wii that isnt on Xbox and vice versa.
Playing with human beings is much more fun than playing alone. Everyone can agree to that. Sitting in front of a tube racking your brains out, alone, on Halo 3 is much less productive than getting to know ppl online (just like SRO, which, mind you, is not available on any console) and talk/scream/curse while you play.

You dont necessarily have to get a "gaming PC" for games. I got my LAPTOP (NOT a desktop monitor) for around $700. Dell Inspiron. Works perfectly fine with up to five or six full games downloaded on it. I experience nearly no lag on multi. Lag has nothing to do with your computer really-its mainly your connection and memory.
PCs are much more portable than consoles too, right? Yeah, you could lug that hunk of metal around, but you got no screen.

Bit like i said, you have to get a good pc to enjoy it as much as on a console. With consoles theyre made to run smoothly while playing games.

Multiplayer:
consoles for one allow you to sit down on the couch next to your friend and play coop games all sunday without
1 setting up a LAN / online server
2 requireing 2 computers instead of one (high end games need 2 high end computers)
3 buying 2 game copies
You don't have shit with virusses, drivers, malfunctioning hardware if you don't fck around with the thing (xeption: xbox anyone, but I heared thats fixed now).
You seem to forget that pc gamers actually are supposed to buy the games too. Sure you can download anything but by the law you're expected to buy the games and movies legally, just like for a console.
Also, nearly everyone already owns a tv, while pc gamers need to buy a seperate monitor for that.
The new generation allows people to play online, in 2-4+ player splitscreen, LAN, and even though it may not be as massive as on the pc, chances are that will be alike in the near future.
Ofcourse pc's have more functions and you can download alot, but you can console game with just a tv, console, a game and 2 controllers.
For PC gaming this requires (for 2 people) 2 pc's, a LAN cable, 2 monitors, 2 games, input and output divices for both persons, thus costs more power, and space to put it, plus you have to bring everything to your friends house every time you play.
I'm a fan of both.
But console gaming has its charm and simplicity.

Can you invite your friends over for a beer and a session of overnight gaming on a PC? No. Can you for a ps2/3? Yes.
They both have their different uses. Both have their pro's and cons, just like everything in life.
We get that you like PC>consoles...but seriously your starting to sound like a preacher.
