Worlds first MMO racing game.

I'm downloading it now.
Its the first graphical based game, as there are text based racing MMO's
Its basicallly need for speed, but MMO.
open beta was in july.
Graphics look similar to NFS 2 (on my comp anyway)

i believe that kart riders or kart racers was the first mmo racing game... very popular in korea... there is also live for speed s2 but that's more sim.

Motor City Online was a racing massively multiplayer online computer game released by EA Games on October 10, 2001. The point of the game was to buy classic cars (mostly American muscle cars) ranging from 1930s to 1970s models, tune them up, and race them against other players. The game went offline on August 29, 2003
Originally conceived as part of the Need for Speed series under the title Need for Speed: Motor City [1], all single player elements that may have been developed for the game were discarded in favor of an online-only model. There hasn't been a decent MMO racing game since EA's antiquated 2001 release Motor City Online--and that's a long time. Developer Eden Studios is about to change the current situation with their latest addition to the Test Drive series, Test Drive Unlimited.
