Goodbye MSN?

Installing messenger live is required to continue.
Half way through isntall it jams and dumps out.
Visited a 'how to fix messenger live' site and none of the fixes worked.
I guess this is the end to my MSN friends.

got same problem... im using pidgin now its kinda bastard and hard to understand but it got some good option too

So. Various programs didn't work. My messanger installation wouldnt work, and my warcraft patch wouldnt work.
I've done everything I could find on the net regarding the error messages I was given.
Some included registry fixes, service disables, service restarts, unregistering files, driver updates, service pack updates.
Still didn't work.
Tried to watch something in media player - it told my my clock was set to the year 2220 or something, so it cannot run.
I don't know why the clock was EVER changed. I didn't change it.
I change back to 2007 and EVERYTHING works again.
WTF. Whatever.
I have MSN again.

Install MSN 7.5 back, rightclick the msnmsgr.exe program in your C:\Program Files\MSN Messenger, goto compatibility tab, choose Windows 2000.
Log in and have fun.
Only bug is the pixely MSN icon in your tray.
