Google the error's number.

I remember I used to have problems similar to that, might not be the same one because I don't recall the number, but it definately did have the same type of pop up and such: the problem was caused by not using nvidia's display drivers. I was using just default display drivers from windows.

Umm.. I got this error about a week ago and I just reinstalled my graphics drivers (ati/nvidia, whichever you need) and then reinstalled steam. Haven't gotten that error since. Hope that helps :)

p.s dont forget to make backups of your games if your reinstalling steam or youll have to dl them again

Specs dont effect this, here are mine and i could run it (but with shitloads of lag)

GFX CARD: GeForce2 MX/MX 400
CPU: AMD Anthlon 1.2GhZ

My brother had that error before, but with a different game, I reinstalled it for him and it worked

Try reinstalling it... Did you get it on a disk or through Steam?

I'm gonna guess it has something to do with your integrated graphics card. How big is it? You should need at least 128mb.

it ran out of memory, virtual memory, that can either mean your graphics card needs to be updated to fix it or your ram upgraded.

Hmm Looked a bit thu google no results
it could be faulty ram but if everyones getting this error then it must be a bug in the game

meh just wait for Steam to fix it if its seroius it should be fixed within the next day

Do you run Xfire at the same time? If so, exit it and try. Xfire gives me problems with CSS and I think it might;ve been that error.

Guys dont just flame something, read the error.

1. Write down the error [ including all numbers ]
2. Close cs:s and steam
3. Restart steam
4. Start cs:s and check if the mem adresses are the same
5. If so start a mem test [ search google ]
6. If it aint reinstall Steam : cs:s

You got everything legit do you?
