.. Sorry not doing it.. Else we would have to do this everyday so many tragedies happened..
Don't get me wrong. The people that passed away and the rescuers and the victims all have my respect and love.. But they have that always, not just on the special day.. So i'm not gonna remember it apart from other disasters

As much as I think that the gov had a greater role in it, and it frustrates me that I and many others can do f**k all about it .... I rather just forget about the day and let people move on.
After all, did anyone except IraQ have a minute silence for when USA first bombed them ?

i agree with you.
Right now our country cries the lost we've had because all the fire in our forests because of two stupid **** who wanted to be cool and pretend to be Hefestos.
People has died and yet our forests are suffering. We live our tragedies too.
All my respect and love for the people that died in 9/11. And even more respect to the people who didnt hesitate to give their lifes away and walk up the stairs to save the others.
But also, all my love and respect to all the victims of all the different tragedies in the world. Mostly to the innocent people who has died in iraq (irak) because of the invasion, that.. to me, deserves respect.
Love.

The world is a dark and deep place and there's more wrong then right in the world. But does that mean we should turn a blind eye to everything that happened around us ?
Sure,it's impossible to hold the peace and quiet for everything that went completely wrong. And we should move on i agree. And whether the American Government were involved into the explosions or not. I don't care.
What i do care for are the people that lost their lives their dreams and their family's and their children. These men and woman we call our heroes. These men and woman who became the victims of political bullshit.
Our heroes because these ordinary human beings that are just like us gave their lives to search for survivors, and thanks to their bravery family's were reunited and at least some grief could be prevented.
Those heroes did not have any involvement with the Terrorists nor did they have any involvement with the American Government.
They were just people like you and me doing their job and searching for survivors and some lost many friends and colleague's over the duration of that whole horrible ordeal. But they kept searching often completely exhausted and ill from lack of sleep and worry.
And even though i live in the Netherlands, I feel alive and brave enough to hold the peace for 2 lousy Farking moments to remember those people i like to call America's heroes.
If we analyze everything to the core and analyze everything that humanity has done wrong there will be no end to it. We all know that and we all know that it won't change for quite, quite some time now.
2 Minutes of silence is to much right,You spend more time trying to log in the damn game.
*Holds peace for 2 minutes out of sheer and pure respect*

There isn't really a "correct" spelling for the word because its a phonetic translation into a Latin/Roman alphabet. Most of you are probably too young to remember the myriad spellings of Lybia's leader after the bombing of the plane over Lockerbie. Newspapers had fits about whether it should be spelled Gadafi, Kadafi, or Qadafi (with superfluous "h"s throughout and random repeating of the d or the f (e.g. "Kaddhaffi")). In America at least, the "Q" was used to represent the "K" sound because editors believed it to look vaguely middle eastern. It may sound silly, but that's why most middle eastern names using the "K" phoneme are spelled with a "Q" in American English.

i get what grimmjaw is saying but if you held 2 min of silence for every hero who's given there life for someone no one would ever talk....
Im all for ppl respecting those that gave their lives but you can't deny tha this day has become nothing more than a media fanfare which is used by the gov't to increase terrorist awareness and spread panic
if you want to mourn separate 9/11 from the fire fighters and police who gave their lives because you can't mourn for this event but i can understand you mourning for the ppl

Thank you =] u just put into words what I have been thinking
@deep.in
Generalizing americans by saying that they aren't equal to 1 iraqi citizen is harsh
God made all men and women equal.
So tell me then why americans always think that they are best?

my entire school day was about that shit
I almost killed myself
I finally got pissed and said
"Did anyone you know die?"
"Well... no."
"Okay then shut the **** up"
I'm in such a bad mood over the dipshits who can't move on.
Yeah it happened but what the hell can we do about it!
I just wanted to get on my life, but instead a day of it was wasted remembering it.
60 seconds should be sufficient if that.

That's why every morning I pray for all those who died that day or the previous day...then I juss go and live life, what does it take to give a min of your life to pray for the families of anyone who died?
Thats the way a lot of people do it, and if your religious should do it, instead of these all day mourning fests >_>

Because i dont believe in god i wont pray, or go to church. But i respect
peoples religion and if you feel praying helps i think you should do it.
