Hello Hello.

Well, i bought BF2142 today. Been playing it and rised some ranks already, question is. How do i customize my classes? I see they have a lot of cool customizables which i want. But they arent unlocked. How do i do that?

There's a customize tab above the map when you're at the spawn/class menu. Click that and drag the unlocks you have for that class to the empty slots and you're set. You can also get temporary unlocks via field upgrades if you're in a squad, but they're removed once you leave the server.

No i know that. but im nor unlocking them. no mattter what Class i get

Play the game, for every set number of points you level up to a new rank, you will get a notice of this in game with some fancy music and a grats from the mysterious voice in the background.

When you go to the main menu then, you can select new unlocks in the 'bonus' tab in the BFHQ tab. Select your unlock, unlock it with the button. Note: The sprint and grenade unlocks in the seperate tree are not equippable, their are permanent upgrades.

You have to equip class trees from the bottom down, until you reach the unlockable weapons.

Then in game, before you spawn choose your class, then click costumize and drag the unlocks in your empty soldier slots. (Like Reise said)
You have to do this everytime you join a new game, and between spawns you can always change your equips in that costumization tab.

Maybe you knew all this, it's somewhat obvious, but hope this answered your question :p

Or did you mean that you unlocked the equips but cant choose them?

I heared it can take some time sometimes before the masterserver 'wakes up' and recognizes you have new unlocks. Also some servers have the unlocks option disabled. You can try the unlocks in single player also.

Well, i don't play online cuz the Servers are all to far away from here n i havent tried cuz i know my lag will be insanley insane.. How can i do it just in Singleplayer mode ?

Can't gain points toward rank in single player bro. Gotta play on ranked servers. If you could in SP I'd just play with god mode and get brigadier general in 2 maps.

I do raise ranks in Single Player. So, i don't get the unlocks? Fak

That's weird you can gain rank in SP. Never tried it lol. Check your BFHQ tab in the main menu and see if it says anything about available unlocks. Usually it shows right up when you rank up anyway.

its a lot better than 2142, thats for sure and doesnt have as many bugs as it either

Ha I was going to install 2142 but installed Battlefield 2 instead. I might load that up tonight or so.

Go to filefront.bf1942files.com and check out their POTD's. Plenty of ship beaching bugs to be seen there lol. And many many others of course.

2142 is ok but not a scratch on BF2 imho, ive played BF2 to my current rank of Lt.Colonel. i played 2142 a fair bit but it just didnt grab me

hey Key-J, if you are just using single player you should be able to edit your config files to open all maps and all weapons, single player only of course. also a bunch of info at the best Battlefield forums: http://www.bf2s.com

Yeah I didn't like 2142 either because the Titan mode feels like a huge rip off from UT2004 Assault mode but not only that. It just didn't get me interested when I played the demo. I bought it but I never installed it.

i just cudnt get it to keep me coming back and playing, BF2 had a massive impact on me and i still play it now, we even have our own gameserver for BF2

If you already have BF2, have you tried the Project Reality mod?

Well you can't unlock weapons and equips in single player mode, only try them out once you actually have unlocked them.. what roflcopter said, I don't think you can edit your config files like you could in BF2 because in BF2142 you hàve to log in the EA masterserver before you can play the game, in BF2 you could play without internet and mod and edit all-the-way.

Maybe, màybe there is some sort of mod or anything related (I myself don't have knowledge of this) that allows you to use unlocks in / a crack for - offline play.

But hey Key-J u you live on Hawaii right if I remember right (steal my cookie if I'm wrong).. There's gotta be a ranked server near that place.. there's just GOTTA xD

Update the game to the newest version, let the server browser update the entire list of servers and check out the lowest pinged server, there just gotta be one with a ping fair enough for you to play on ^^

@Wu. Well just to be nice, if it works ill only unlock the Updates that my current rank should get XD, o and i dont live in Hawaii. I live in Indonesia. Half way around the world...
