I just thought I'd ask this here too. I installed IE7 and youtube wouldn't even load. So I reinstalled back to IE6 and it still won't work.

Reason it's slow...
It's getting updated. If you manage to refresh things should look different ... the actually player is more slick ... I guess the 'Beta version' has been officially released.
