Frustrations and how to deal with them.

Post by Wu »

Everyone has their (daily) frustrations.

So how do you deal with them?

Do you sport to release anger, fighting sports perhaps, or play some FPS, play an instrument or throw anything within reach around your room when things don't go the way they're supposed to? :P

TBH, I could use some tips. Just ALT-F4 my battlefield 2142 after playing it again for the first time since a year or so. A topic made here made me want to try it again. But after base artillery, being knifed, reloading when you run into the enemy face to face, father walks in when ur just about to pop a squad, I have so many frustrations from that game :P any idea's plz? :)

I get pissed at a lot of games. If you wanna really have fun, just play regardless of what happens. I find that when I play without caring about score or how many times I've died, I do a lot better and generally have a better time playing.

Once I'm too frustrated to play though I usually stop and take a break. Watching TV or working out a little gets me by it no problem.

Yeah what Reise said, whenever I play Halo I just make sure I stay as calm as possible regardless of what happened. People do a lot worse on FPS games when they get pissed. If I just can't take it, I just take a break.

It depends on what im frustrated on.

If i am pissed off because of my "problems" i have going on now, i go up the back, pick up my whacking stick and i start whacking one of the big iron bark trees up the back. Then i will pick up rocks and whack them into nothingness. Its a good anger release.

When playing poker online and i loose a large amount of money by some river bandit, i go into my music, I get all my hardcore death metal, turn it up as loud as it can go and i rock out. Its a great way to release anger.

If im just pissed of in general, i find drawing helps. Art is a great way to express emotion.

I would never waste a cat due to my frustration. Cats that were physically harmed produce less tender meat.

Buy a punching bag. I just got one last week, and it only cost me a little more than a hundred dollars (and I got some punching gloves along with the package). It's freestanding as well, so you don't have to worry about your ceiling height or anything. Just plop it down where you want it, and make sure that there's atleast 5-6 feet in each direction around it so you can circle around it and not worry about getting hit by a table or something.
It's great to vent, and it works you out as well. I normally don't get angry about... games, as they're supposed to be for fun, but for more real things that may be taking place in life, a punching bag works great.

Oh, and goddamn, everytime I see that bug in your Sig, I think it's real, lolol.

In reality, i'm disciplined. I can control my anger and frustration, get over things rather quickly without getting physical or verbal.

lol thanks, I'll try some of those things ^^

but Im not going to harm our cats dom :x :P

@Reise yeah thats the best thing ofcourse, but heaping up frustrations can get vèry difficult sometimes.. And ofc. some people get easier frustrated than others. Im just one of those people that have a hard time taking alot of frustrations in a short time lol

physically expressing your anger gives the most satisfaction for me ,I found that out, I once got so pissed, after some bad luck-FPS my computer started making weird noises.. I opened my computer and just grabbed and broke the CPU fan out

I should get my punching bag from the attic 8) -thanx for remembering me-

since I don't have any little brothers or sister thats seems like the right thing to do for me lol

happened twice now, retarded people.

writing a very angry mail to our region manager as we speak, i've had it.
