ooh man this is sooo good, and it tastes good with everything, IMO it beats all McGriddle stuff together. Without it I'd /kill

I reckon everyone should try at least one stick, and DON'T chew on it, just suck it like a lolipop.

I hope the translator did a good job and I'm not talking about something strange, what I mean is this

Image

Yup, they're sticks and you're supposed to eat em.

Hah, I just went to the hema and bought 5 packages. I thought I'd get some more so I wouldn't have to go to the shop anymore so I went to this herbs&shit shop and they had the biggest zoethoutjes EVER! They were like 2cm in diameter and 10cm long, looks like a friggin Cuban cigar.. AND ONLY 5 CENTS EACH. I bought em all :D

(zoethout = liquorice wood in dutch, I think it's actually a dutch sweet)

Fat_Smurf, omg pay attention idiot. You're supposed to suck on the stick, don't chew it.
Don't say it's gross, you eat cow/chicken/pig and if you don't cause you're vegetarian you're missing out, so you should at least try zoethout.

"The extract of the liquorice root is one of the main ingredients in liquorice candy."

From your link.. lol, so probably it does. But the candy/tea with the flavor aren't nearly as good as the real deal.

When I was younger, the first time I got really drunk...well I don't know what happened; I don't remember any of it. But what I do know, since then the THOUGHT, let alone smell or taste of black licorice, makes me gag, and i've thrown up on the thought alone.

I use star anise a lot for cooking, I think they're the flowers from the same plant, or atleast they smell like black licorice. They don't taste like it though...when I use them I have to boil it down until the smell is gone :(

Same for me with mango's, but not the drunk part. We were in all inclusive hotel with this kickass pool bar, and I drank like 10 virgin cocktails in an hour and ended with a coconut syrup with mango juice instead of orange juice cause they ran out of orange juice. It was so disgusting, but hey, I'm Dutch, free = giev!! so I drank it. Never been so sick.
