I don't know how many of you listen to Avenged Sevenfold, but they've got a new album coming out 10/16 and today released a clip from the first single.

Anyone else looking forward to it? Or are there any other albums coming out soon that are any good?

A7F was one of those transition bands for me...when I finally said to myself it isn't girly to like music that doesn't have black gangsters in it. Thus, I listened to it a lot when I made the move.

However, now it seems like all their songs sound the same...have the same formula.

Can't stand Avenged Sevenfold or any other band with their style. It's good music-wise, but vocally it just wears on me like I'm hearing a kid whining constantly. I'm more into deeper aggressive vocals, like Hatebreed for example.

Schwarze Witwe was the first song of theirs I heard, it came on the Asleep By Dawn cd thing a few years ago.. back when Skinny Puppy had just released Im'mortal ect. >.>

I like the ballads and softer songs from these type of bands, not A7F though.

I really love the guitar and the guys voice in A7X. Though I think one of their best songs is Strength of the World, and following that MIA, and Seize The Day. Their best album is probably City of Evil. I got some of there other albums and wasn't too impressed with most of the songs.

Good stuff, although I didn't really look forward to it since it's not one of my favourite bands.

I am still about to get more stuff from these guys, I like their style ... although the grunter/singer sounds just like the guy from Atreyu (eww Emo xD)... and they have a girl on bass (not a con)
