I can't believe I waited this long to buy this game, it blows Battlefield 2 out of the water. Anyone else play it? The infantry combat is intense, and there's tons of crap to unlock with new ranks. Not to mention the vehicles, those kick ass too. The walkers are almost invincible if you know how to use 'em right. Definitely my favorite FPS right now.

played it for a few months i even had northern strike got bored of it

Played demo.. hated it. Liked BF2 much more.

i might buy it, how much does it cost?

If you can get a good server, no whining kids and people who work together its good. But the EA kids play it so i went back to BF2.

Yeah it is pretty good. I still play it every now and again.

BF is not my type of game, too slow. You don't get a fragmovie where you pwn 5 people alien hard. You'll get movies where you drop a rocket on em, lame.

I played BF2 for months, got really into it

Then bought 2142 on the first day

played it alot for about 7 days

got all the unlocks I wanted

never played it again.



BF 2142 has so much less... atmosphere.. or.. I don't quite know what it is, but the whole game just feels wrong. = /

Even though in those 7 days I fought some really intense action packed battles I never feel like playing it anymore..

so well yeah... meh

As for it being "meh" it sure beats the incredible fakeness of BF2. I don't like shooting people 5+ times and doing little or no damage. 2142 has an excuse, because it's all fake anyway.

I was actually at GameStop last night, and was about to buy it, before seeing that it was Multi-player only. I don't have Internet on my new laptop, so I grabbed the new Ghost Recon instead.
Cost me $52, and then I went home, unwrapped it, installed it, and it told me that my laptop didn't have enough GHz to play it. It needs 2GHz minimum, and I only have 1.8GHz. And now I can't return it.
Should've bought something good, but all the good games are Rated M. Two more years. *shudder*

2142 has a single player mode I think. You just have to make an account to play on with ea.com which you can do right as the game starts.

BF2 is way better than 2142. I love the realistic part of BF2.

Before all that amok bullshit you could just go into a store and grab any game you wanted even if it was rated 18+ ... lol.

Well, once you reach legal age, it's not so amazing anymore to play something you're not supposed to

used to it was kinda fun using all the weapons and vehicles n all

but the game was bugged to hell it had too much crap on it

Quake Wars will be better when it comes out and I can play more than 1 map lol. Actually it'll be hard to choose, Quake Wars has a few things about it that I don't really like. Vehicle physics for example, and infinite sprint.

The graphics are awesome!
If there's a demo I might give it a try, I'm not too good at these kinds of games, though.

You just have to 'learn' how to use the vehicles, ie agree w/you . I <3 infinite sprint but I wonder if they cut limited or are going to put it in b/c after you run for a while you start to huff like you're tired.

I found it extremely dissapointing, all the titan maps seem to lag (i dunno if many people experiance that, i know a few of my mates find this the case). I was hoping the titan games were gonna be somthing completely new and different, tbh i though it was pretty average.

BF2 was much better IMHO

Yeah they still lag even with the patch, cause its like your trying to stand on a moving car. Sucks

Before I upgraded I couldn't play Titan at all because of that lag. Now though my PC can handle it. The only lag I get now when I'm actually on the Titans is similar to BF1942 when you'd stand on a ship while someone was driving it. It's a little annoying at first but you tend to ignore it after a bit.
