but still isnt that bit cruel and harsh on the horses? I mean if he loves and
cares for them so much then why make them preform in a show where

well....im speechless...that is amazing, but if I was the horse, and a man was standing on my back and was getting near to my ass, I would straight up boot him in the thighs

The way I see it. If the horses didn't want to do it, then they won't.
Its the same with any Equestrian sports.

Hmm so that means that horse riding in general wouldn't be good for the horses... If any thing there is less weight on the horses back...

But he is riding 2 horses at a time... You have to remember also, horses can pull quite a bit of weight.

When I was about 16, I went to see Olympia (show jumping) around christmas time... And he was performing, OMG I had such a crush on him

He is standing on the horses backs while the horses jump over the fence.. He also does it without using harnesses.. So he has no control over the horses...
