Not sure if anyone heard of Frets on Fire. I usually play it when I get bored of something.

Its basically like Guitar Hero on the PC, but you can make songs, customize the menu, anything.

http://fretsonfire.sourceforge.net/

It's open source too so no spyware/viruses here. :P

I didnt check out the site, but Is it pretty much FFR but with the letters instead of arrow keys?

(If you dont already now, FFR *Flash Flash Revolution* is like StepMania)
All of these are for the computer.

I read the guide on how to import songs, and it sounds really complicated, how did anyone else do it, 3 songs cant keep me entertained for long XD

It looks more complicated than it is :)

I just made 2 or 3 songs of my own and it works just fine.

note: when you use freetar you will have to set up your keys the first time you use it, and use the 'press button to record' mode under 'playback' to record songs easily. 8)

yeah thats the error (something about joysticks :P) you get when you havnt set up the new key assignments yet ;)

go to the options menu and assign new keys from your keyboard to the buttons needed and the next time you start the program you wont get an error. :)

agh Im ready to give up, I set the controls like you said went to import the ogg file again and

is it possibly becuase Im not using the java version
that one wouldnt start so I use the bottom exe but it is called music editor instead of freestar hero like in the guide

hmm I think both shortcuts are for the same program, doesnt really matter I think, theire both called music editor and I didnt notice any differences.

Im not sure why you get that error, but make sure you click 'new song' and not 'open song', and make sure u used a mp3 song (now converted to ogg ofcourse) and not a converted wma song because that will fail.

haha yeah, but if you use the 'press button to record' option in the 'playback' menu you can just play the song and record the notes by playing the desired keys to the song :)

if you have any other questions, you can always send me a PM, Ill be on tomorrow again. Im not a FoF pro though xD

g/l on making your songs, and you can always download new songs from:
