Post by Nace »

I'm planning on purchasing a 42-50'' tv sometime this week... just can't really decide between plasma or LCD... can someone list the pros and cons of each?

Goddamn, Masta, I actually read through your Sig. :P

Forget the TV and get a kickass Stereo system and a iPod (or a new one, if you already have one). Then turn your music up to the max at 2:00 in the morning and annoy the hell out of your neighbors. :P
Or you could just get the TV and sit in front of it all day and grow fat and get a beer gut.
Your choice.

Plasma has very short lifetime, of about 3 years. Plus they have burn in problems. LCD can last as long as 8 or more years.

as far as i know (and my knowing is around 2 years old whitoput refreshment) plasma tv's have a little problem, when you watch a programm for a long time it's icon would make a mark that doesn't go away. so you would always see a greenish icon saying (CNN) or something like that
