Well, for the past few weeks i have been getting 1-3 hours of sleep per night... which leads me to do some very interesting things...
i go in and out of sleep and in and out of dreams all day long, very weird...
today at work, someone called me, and i got their problem, and then i completely forgot i was on the phone, didnt say a word for like 8 minutes, and neither did the other person... then i finally realized that i was on the phone and had to make up some reason for my absence...
also, sometimes i will be speaking with someone, ill say something... then i will go into dream state, then think the person has responded to me, then respond to what i thought they said... when in reality they have not said anything.
this is really starting to get interesting...
i dont know what the point of this thread was, but discuss

my gf has some pillz that are like 500 times stronger than any sleeping pills i have ever seen, and she also has some trazadone...(spelling)
the trazadone knocks you out for around 8 hours... but the other ones she has (forgot the name) knocked me out for 28 hours... so i am afraid of them... lol...
the problem is... i kinda like sleep deprivation... so i dont want to take the pillz... lol... im weird.

The timing coincides with the purchase of your place, no? If so, I'm thinking you've got some stress going on. Maybe the fact that you haven't unpacked reflects a subconcious feeling that you don't deserve your new residence. This conflict is creating anxiety that keeps you awake at night. I recommend the Trazadone. Good stuff.

hehe, well, yes, it does coincide with the purchase of my new place. and that is causing stress because of my newly acquired bills and things of the sort. i agree with that, and that may be part of the issue. it could also be that recently me and my gf were havin some issues too, but they are worked out now.
the unpacking thing i tend to disagree however. The only reason i havent unpacked is pure laziness. i feel i deserve my place very much after dealing with the last 3 residences i have had and my horrible room mates, this place is well-deserved.

yea yea, i know, everyone wants to see pics, like i said i have been holdin off until i get my stuff unpacked fully and setup fully...
but i might just take some pics with my phone today and post them up tomorrow.
on the plus side, i got that big screen i wanted. it is older, but it still works great, and only cost me 120 dollars
p.s. vegas is 9 hours away from me.

Yeah...I kinda went crazy on the psycho-analysis. The end of my post was kind of a joke.
Not just buying a house, but moving as well, is very stressful. There are some lists that measure stress and moving is unusually high on the list. Right up there with changing jobs, death of a loved one, divorce, having kids.
Take it easy and trust that things will settle down.

Well I kinda know what you're going through. I myself only sleep 3hrs a day every other day (alternating with non sleep days). Have been doing so for the past 4 years. Just from reading your post you do express symptoms of sleep deprivation, and yet cant sleep very well.
So, if after you settle down, you still cant sleep well, try getting a GP to prescribe to you Temazepam nightly prn (as needed) just to break the insomnia cycle (low risk of tolerance and addiction).
Or, do what I do and go on a daily binge of caffeine, nicotine and pseudoeph

(happy days >,^) and be highly productive.
P.s. I'm an overworked final year med student... soon to be overworked first year med intern...

Damn sucks dude, yeah had insomnia too. Got like you 3 hours max of sleep then went to school. You just stay out of it all day and cant think. Meds would help but if you get dependent on them it will suck

I suffer from the opposite to Insomnia, I suffer from chronic fatigue (or ME) and I can't get enough sleep and I'm always tired.. I would love to feel awake. The other night I had 12 hours sleep and I was still tired

that really sucks... i would much rather not sleep than sleep too much. sorry to hear about that.
and yea, falling asleep at the wheel doesnt usually happen, i only fall asleep at work, and when i am not doin anything that keeps me actively engaged. But if it gets worse i might have to worry about that.
