Firstly what kind of "trick bike" are u talking about
Your options are.
A. Mountain Trials Bike (generally a 24" wheel and front disc break and sometimes have no seat at all)
B. "BMX" style bike (20" wheels unless its a larger racing bmx with 24" wheels which wouldnt be classed as a trick bike)
Ive had alot to do with bikes im not into Trials or StreetBmx myself but into Cross country MTB and Road Cycling.
Check out MTBUK (MountainBike uk) Magazines and website they have alot of trials info etc
http://www.mbuk.com/
My Bikes:
Avanti Hammer '05 Lightweight XC [XT/Lx drivechain] (New Zealand company)
Trek 1500 '06 Road bike [Full Ultegra]

That's my Bike. Or close to it, anyways. I don't know the exact model, TBH... I bought it at Academy, and I just wheeled the bike out with my Dad - it came with this instruction packet, but I don't know where my Dad put it.
@ Blade_NZ, it's the second type.
@ Hershey, thanks for the link. I'm reading it now.

Looks really interesting.
I'm going off to bed, guys. If you know anything, please post it here. I really appreciate the help that you're giving me.

If you could start with the BASICS, that'd be good, since with all my previuos bikes, I used them more for... well, biking.

No this is a cruiser.
If you look closely at the trials mtb it has a front disc brake (bmx cruisers have no front brake at all) Also a trials frame is more... squashed at the back than a cruiser and also longer, and the chain ring and rear cassette are far too small for racing made for quick acceleration not speed.
Google Mountainbike Trials

youll see what i mean.

ok well the
Wheelie: while rolling pull up on the handle bars and lean all your weight tword the back of the bike
practice: start small, practice at diff speeds...then once you have the hang of it..try pulling the wheels up over an object like a curb.
endo (stoppie): depress the front brake and shift weight forward so the rear wheel comes off the ground
practice: (start at slow speeds so you dont go over the handle bars)practice with different ammounts of pressure on brakes and shifting more weight forward.
Extreme basics^^^
once you master these we will move on

Ok, seriously, I gotta go right after this. But I want to practice this tomorrow, so I need to know.
About the Wheelie... do you pull on the handlebars up or anything? Because when I try to lift the front end up, I just like, pull on it, really hard, and the bike jumps up (the front part, anyways), like... 6 inches or something.

When you do a Wheelie, do you pull up on the handlebars... like, at all? Hard? What?
And how the hell do I lean back on the bike? Do I sit down, or stand up? Rofl, such a noob, I am. Yes.
The Endo... what the hell do you mean by the FRONT BREAK? And depress? Does that mean push?
Dude, like, yeah.
FenaCorp = dumbass bike n00b newb noob.
Uh huh. Start smaller, please.

standing up on both tricks The Endo... what the hell do you mean by the FRONT BREAK? And depress? Does that mean push?
there should be a brake on the left hand side of the hanlde bars that is the front one
depress-sqweese the brake handle
Dude, like, yeah.

I found a good video guide to get you started.
Heres one for some Flatland stuff (flat land = just that doing tricks on the flat with no obstacles)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YkvwdM9X ... ed&search=
Allso with your wheelies,
The best way to master the wheelie is not to be pulling up on the bars at all, but through practice practice practice, Put in the burst of pedaling with your weight shifted back so the front end rises then keep your pedaling constant to keep it up.
Thats how i was taught, the easy way is to lift the front end and peddle yah butt off but you wont master it and be able to go long distance in a wheelie.
This will allso help you get to know the weight and balance of your bike for more difficult tricks.
Good luck
If you need any maintenance advice send me a pm.

Yeah i admit its easier
One advantage learning how to do it without though is it easier to do it in combination with other tricks
(e.g. Endo into a wheelie)

Try get a GT or Specialized (brands) BMX if ur going second hand (for cheap) they dont age so much. But heck anything with 2 wheels connected by some metal will do

Oh if your going MTN/Trick then go for a Trek for mountain or Specialized/Santa Cruz for trick.
Note: if you can afford SantaCruz you either already own 5 cars and 2 houses or you live in a carboard box just so you could afford one
SantaCruz frames = Pure sex
Edit: wow we totally hijacked this thread.

I tried BMXing for like 6 mo's, but I was too weak to do it.
You have to be able to lift your body weight + the bikes, and BMX's are really heavy since they must be durable for all the bails you're gonna do.

At least I think that's the site.

lol thats my prob but i have overcome....i just keep trying...and last i weighed my old bmx bike it was 60 lbs thus i had to lift around 180 lbs but momentum and leg muschels cut the total weight down to prlly 120 lbs

It's shit.
It's not worth it unless it's 250 bucks or more.
And I'm not kidding.
Although if you're not sure you want to bmx first, then I guess a cheaper one is fine. But you want a nice brand like Kink bike, they use nice materials for their bikes.
100 dollar bikes break on any serious bails.

No offence exal but dont get that bike.
Get a hard tail. Cheap full suspensions like that will break in a week.
I worked at a summer camp last year in massachusetts as a mountain bike instructor they bought similar bikes (i almost cried) since i was instructor and mechanic all in one, i spent half the summer fixing the damn things and they wont be useable for another summer they are dead already. (and the classes where hardly profesional stuff this was mountain biking 101[beginners])
Hard tails for the same money = less moving part = less to go wrong = more money put into the important parts rather than rear suspension that wont work.
Conclusion get a hard tail for the same money itll last 3 times as long.
Happy riding
