Anyone play this? I'm semi-addicted to it right now.

Stepmania is VERY fun if you have the dance pad (alternative to losing weight?!). It sucks with the ol' button mashing.

I'm currently unable to play DDR with the pad so I've been stuck playing it with my fingers. It took me a while to get used to, but I'm half decent at it now.

lol How the hell... I think I'm good at doing things, then people show me stuff like that haha.

This can't be called a Dance game anymore..

If only the arrows landed to the rhythm of the beat...

I play on the real DDR machine. 1v1 anyone?

jeez after you learn to do that with the arrow keys just image your reflexs in fps and other games that need good reflexs

Yeah, i used to play DDR in the arcade. Humph, ill admit i was actually pretty good at it... but last time i played was looong ago, n PS version. So i probably lost it now...

I think there was a thread about you playing this a while ago, and I asked you to get the dance pad and record yourself dancing naked and upload it for all of us to see...and yeah just look at.

I play SDO, basically the same thing, except it has asian music on there. The steps are harder and there are more songs.

Not sure if you consider this a flaw with all rhythm games or just DDR clones, but Stepmania uses the same codebase as In The Groove which was the main competitor of DDR. The arrows are on beat.

I personally like Quasar, Emerald Sword, and Lawn Wake IV. No videos of my own though. Can't full combo those songs yet.

I was bowling with a bunch of people the other day, and when we finished a few of them were like "let's go play DDR". So they did, and the rest of us stood around watching the other machine where this... DDR "pro" or something... was doing the one-person-two-pads thing and using his frigging hands too. Pretty crazy. Also I noticed one of the machines had two MC Frontalot songs on it which blew my mind.

Link for the download of all the songs that I could find: To dowload right clickt he Down Load area and click save link as. MOst of the time it should say just the song name. Hit save and it will download the .mp3 enjoy !

The hardest songs I have played are as follows:
"The legend of MAX" on Single Heavy and Double Heavy
"PARANOIA survivor MAX" on Single Heavy, Single Challenge, Double Heavy and Double Challenge
"MAX. (Period)" on Single Heavy, Single Challenge, and Double Heavy (on Japanese home version)

All 3 of these songs are rated "Flashing 10"
