Whats a good hosting company for a ventrilo server?

Somewhere around the neighborhood of 60 people, that doesnt have many issues with downtime or connection problems?

Any experience in this area?

my vent is typefrag but nationvoice http://www.nationvoice.com/

seems to be 6 bucks cheaper
those are the only 2 ive been on tho.

I currently use gameservers.com for mine.. I could have gotten a cheaper deal but they seem pretty reliable. Never had any probs, 50 slots is 17.95 and the next step up is 100 slots for 29.95.

Prolly will go with nationvoice next time for me

When I tried Ventrilo some time ago I didn't like it at all ... but ok, I use TS for ~4 years now, so maybe I am just too used to it

Like no one has TS on my server... hardly

Easy to spam the vent info in a party and have 4 people come join you.

Yeah vent is more wildy known to people who play RPGs for some reason, some FPS clans use vent for some reason. Personally i use TS, been using it for like 5 years or something and love it, run my own servers

I highly recommend http://www.gameservers.com for ventrilo, $25 a month for 75 people, $30 for 100, EXTREMELY HIGH voice quality, no lag for people in other countries, and they offer discounts for longer subscription plans.

Meh true probly for a guild.

But Draq I think a 75 person vent would be fine for this forum.

There are damn sure not 7000 somethin active users on this forum.

What's more, you need to take a percentage of how many active users we do have, cos not everybody has a mic. And not everybody feels comfy revealing how they really sound.

Especially if they're a guy claiming to be a girl. Or a 15 year old kid claiming to be a 21 year old dude.
