NEW PC! NEW GAMES?

im getting a new pc for real cheap and am wondering if i should broaden my game horizon. this pc will run anything you throw at it. im purchasing it form my local lan center and have played sro and cs:s at the same time on it...tho it was a little laggy lol. so any games i should try? please give a short description dont just say the name. oh and remember im poor so ftp is great lol

I enjoyed single player Call of Duty 2 alot. Great graphics,pretty challenging game at the highest difficulty.
There's doom 3 if you haven't played it yet. It's a really fun game. Lot's of crazy demons in there.
If you're looking for mmorpgs I can't really recommend anything right now. Nothing good is out yet. Most of these days I just play CSS and Starcraft.
I hope you're not getting ripped off for your pc. What are your specs?

Play Stalker on max settings, tell us the FPS and then I tell you if it is a "good PC"
Yeah CoD2 is definitely a fun game ... looks beautiful on high details ... but go MP, how can you play such a game SP only :<

It depends on the resolution hes playing at. My 7800 gt can do stalker on max at 1064x 768 but its shit at anything higher.

Try Rainbow Six Vegas, most demanding that STALKER is. But btw even on low settings the game is amazing

buy bf2142, halo 2, company of heros, call of duty 3, CS:S, DOD:S, That one first person shooter mode with the dark ages. and well any other game that is high end.

its the best and the most classic
call of duty 2 sucks because of that stupid new health system and no vehicles (although if u want better graphics go for COD2)

That's kind of weak. My computer isn't ball busting and I run wow + cs:s on dual screenies at 16x anisotropic and 8x aa.
I know a couple people who bought lan centre pcs....they all got screwed. Lan centres sell them to get rid of old hardware, make cash and upgrade the ones they keep. So you get a "high quality" rig from several years ago.
