Ok Parallel Parking is so stupid....no one parallel parks anymore....there is even a car that will automatically do it for you....

I cant get my licenses because i cant parallel park and thats part of the parking part of road test and u have to past the parking part before u can actually go onto the road....OMG

I failed my driver's test first time I took it because I never learned to parallel park. In MA (maybe other states as well) if you fail the test you can request a retest as long as you schedule it within the next week, and not have to pay the fee again. So I learned and the next weekend I passed. Go very slow and pay attention, you don't have to be GOOD at it, you just have to show that you know how to do it safely.

I parallel park because you don't parallel park.

Yeah, once you get it down it's pretty simple. Even though I never do it since there's no point when the rest of the curb is empty.

For some reason this makes me remember a time when I was parking on a hill in the '84 Sentra my mom used to drive and the car died. I was facing downhill and practically touching the car in front and was trying to shift into reverse without rolling forward into the other car. Luckily I have big feet and was able to step on the gas, clutch and brake at the same time and engage in reverse without moving forward at all. See, kids? Driving is fun.

Automatics are boring though. I haven't driven stick in probably four years. Sad face.

It's a lot easier when you're parking behind or in front of a car, because then you can sort of align yourself with it. Aside from that, use your side-view mirror.

I usually end up second-guessing myself, and hitting the curb when I do so ><

Practice. WTF are you talking about no one parallel parks? Where I live, EVERYBODY parallel parks. Don't come drivin over here, I swear to god if you tag my car tryin to park I'ma **** you up.

Well I don't think they're all that useless I liked the death penalty one and the politics one, so I can't be bothered by a Nintendo tournament or parallel parking.

is not stupid ,think about you perhaps you want drive there ,they Parking like this ,So what you do if you cant. ? .So you must Practice if you want learn and take yours licens..

I dont now if yours driver show where you must park but a hint ,. you doesn´t must park there is most packed with cars .

exactly gj ltf u got the point across

if u can't Parallel park buy the new lexus that can, solves ur problems and ends the reason to post in this thread. Further more showing how i am wasting my time just by simply telling you this because to buy the lexus for a lot of cash just cuz u can't Parallel park is dumb! simply learn how to Parallel park and your issues are resolved.

Move to Georgia, you can fail parallel parking and still get your license. I've never even seen a parallel parking spot down here so they really couldn't give two shits if you can do it or not.

I've maneuvered one of the 07 LS 460's around my parking lot. It's SAUCE.

There's a big difference between learning to drive and actually driving.
It's like school, they teach you how to ask for the bus station in French, but not to have a proper conversation.

You learn a lot more once you pass your test.
I parallel park every day and find it a lot easier now I've passed my test. Instructors and examiners just make it more difficult than it needs to be.
