read this

one sentence summary: Tobey Maguire had made a little 6 year old boy cry when the boy confronted him about climbing walls, but Maguire told him about the reality of filming.
the question is, should you let, say your child, believe in super heroes?

Tobey Maguire looks too much like a homeboy to be Spiderman, IMO.
@User: He's gonna be disappointed if Superman shows up instead.

It's something all kids should have. That's like not letting them believe in Santa or the Easter Bunny. Like WTF?
Peace.

I honestly think not. Kid's minds should not be infested with BS like that.

Alluding to the fact that I would, unless my kid was an idiot and thought Spiderman and Superman were real and were kicking ass in NY.

haha! I agree lol
but seriosly, i'd not let him/her completely think there were superheroes flying around... and i sure hope that if i get a kid he'll be clever enough to know that superman wont save him if he jumps out a window -.-

If they believe that someone will magically save them, its better that they die.

Kids should look up to Authority Figures who do good deeds, they just shouldn't try to be like them

The last option is hilarious!
But I don't think that kids should believe in Super heros, it's stupid and it breaks your heart when you find out they aren't real.
