windows theme

anyone know any alternative softwares to wincustom? i want to change my windows theme but wincustom trial version only lets u use it for 60 days or so.

I think you can change that using your system32 files.
I'd give you a guide but my computer won't let me open my local disk D due to "pc angel". It's bullcrap but I can't bypass it.

erm theres a theme that looks good and all you do is put it in your "C:/WINDOWS/Resorce/Theme" folder that was posted not too long ago im sure someone would be kind enough to bring a link up

Ninja "UXTheme patcher" (it's free), and run it. Then you can use unsigned visual styles. No performance hit of any sort either.

i actually meant windowblinds, sry. that's the one that has a trial period.

Visual styles that lack the special signature Microsoft puts on official ones (Luna, Royale, and Zune), which locks them out and prevents them from working.

yeh im using UXTheme too. Visual Styles works the same way too.
I go to winmodify.net to get my skins/themes.
Click VisualStyles link ----> find your skins/themes
note: skins work with both uxtheme and visual styles

Look for the "royale" theme. it's an official microsoft release and looks a LOT better then the normal XP one. Plus, you don't need any third party programs.
