Anybody here use limewire before? Have you downloaded any executable (exe) files without getting a virus?

I want to download some music and counterstrike onto my computer but I'm scared of getting a virus

iv had good zips and bad zips if you got a good anti virus it will pick them up before you get chance to open it which is good

First download limewire pro off of limewire. Then search for counterstrike in a ZIPPED file. get winrar, if there is something in there called setup.exe, don't download it. Other than that, its fine. for music, no viruses as long as it is in mp3. Make sure to download Limewire Pro though, it helps save time cause it blocks some setup.exe files for you.

also what does backup mean? how do you "back up"

the site claims that the file is completely free and has been scanned so I'm downloading it.

Do you think there is any problem with that?

Lol, just download pro from limewire, the ones i found were good ones. You don't have to pay btw.
