im here to tell you all I got a 100 on the trigonometry test!!!!!!

yayyyyy

test on ch. 5 about identities

for example cos(a+b) = cosacosb - sinasinb

and tan(a/2) = sina/ 1+cosa

any people that graduate high school remmeber this stuff cause im doing it right now.

Good luck in pre-cal. It's really boring. Seems like 99% of it is review.

i remember it..
last time i did such stuff was in highschool :D

good job. its not the easiest things to learn.

Eh? I thought pre-calc WAS trig?

Pre-calc and trig were stuck together as one class when I was in high school.

high school curriculums probably change

At my school it goes Foundations, Quadratics, Geometry, Trigonometry/Algebra II, Pre-Calculus I & II, then AP Calculus.

Not sure how pre-cal could be bunched up with trig. It's a two-semester class and trig is only one semester. Then again, it feels like pre-cal is just a repeat of trig with some extra bits.

Good luck when you get to Calculus. I raped pre-calculus but now calculus is raping me :banghead:

My school went: algebra 1, geometry, algebra 2, trig/pre-calc, college algebra or calculus.

Unfortunately, I was an idiot in high school and took college algebra instead of calculus my senior year. That class was the biggest waste of time, and it didn't even transfer to my university.

usually its grouped together...highschool trig is drawn out...it so useless.

Wait till Calculus...now that's a useful course then you'll then go into vector calc...and differential equations..all thsoe fun theorems ...Green's Stoke's...but never take number theory *shudders*

The calculus classes I took were no problem at all, probably because I had good professor.

BUT, when I reached differential equations, all hell broke loose. I've never been so satisfied with a C in my life.

i hate trig its so dumb.....i had a test today on chapter for like graphing sin, csc, cos, sec, tan, cot like -1+2tan(2x+Pie sign/3) and we had to find the period, starting point, verical shift, phase shift, ending point, the asyotopes, and then graph it WOW its so useless when will i ever need this past high skool....

Congrats on the test....i took that test also on that stuff and got like a "A" not sure percent....

Im taking advanced pre-calc next year :banghead:
then the year after that is AP calc :banghead: :banghead:

Again....Congrats on test

thanx :D

based on peoples opinions I can tell that calculus is going to be very hard

in my high school it goes

algebra A, algebra B, geometry, algebra II, trigonometry, pre calc, AP stat, calculus AB, calculus BC

of course there are honor classes and basic classes. I'm taking AP stat in the fall so I guess calculus is still a bit away from me

i think that is what im doing....we started chapter five today and its like simpilying those types of equations hers a example

tan+1*secx^2/cosx=

or something like secx^2/cscx^2=

stuff like that?

when will i ever use that out of high skool?

never understood this stuff... well I could if I want but meh I hate math so i'm not trying :P and i'm done with math for the rest of my life ^^

Sine cosine tangent? What the hell? We learned that in Geometry.

really?

what do you work as? (or are you a college student)

Yea.

I got a B in trig, and in "Anyalical geometry" or w/e it is, i have a b as well.
Im guessing it is like pre-calc.
