Email filtering

Hi.

ive been asking myself for quite a while now.. is there
a big difference in email filtering at the different email
hosts?

i mean, i have a yahoo and a hotmail account. the yahoo
account gets around 2,5k spam mails a month in the
spam mailbox and almost no spam in my regular inbox,
while i only use the hotmail account for msn now since
i permanently have 1k+ new mails in my inbox cause i
got tired of deleting all the spam every week.

can you guys post some numbers in spam/normal mails?
im interested in any mail host.

GMail

Very good. I don't get much. Just some of the ones I forgot to uncheck when signing up for stuff.

There is like 3-4 Spam stuff that goes straight ot the spAM! box, but I just forget about those. They are all jibberish, and I don't quite get how they are spam if I cannot read them. It's all
"GhoHGhgHGjhggh" <- Exact quote of the title of one of my spam mails.

+1 for gmail.

I've been using gmail since the beginning and hardly any spam gets through the filter. Occasionally there will be one or two that slips through, but its no big deal.

ok that sounds a bit like the yahoo i got atm.
is it also easy to have gmail since some functions in the
net use google or gmail accounts? a friend of mine owns
a weblog in which you need to login with a google mail
account.

Get a private email site. Ex. Patriot media
Public emails get most spam like: Hotmail, yahoo, gmail

No spam gets to my hotmail inbox. Mostly cause there's a filter and I've set it to the highest setting.
