Why does everyone quit to play WoW? Why do they think it's better? Frankly, I've played it and it sucks the gay right out of Liberace's anus. The only way it's better is that you can log in whenever you want, and there're no bots.

Don't quit to play WoW, because it isn't good.
Anyways, the original reason I made this was to say, how is WoW better? It's graphics are terrible, I don't like the gameplay, you move with arrows/wasd but select monsters with mouse, and use skills with buttons (or mouse). It just doesn't work too well.
So how do people think it's better?

I moved with the mouse, it was 20x better than moving with WASD.

Sometimes people think that if it costs more $$$ it must be better by default.

It's just a matter of opinion, that's all.
WoW isn't my cup of tea. SRO is. That's why I play SRO, not WoW. :)

Srry buddy, but I don't play isro anymore :(
I might get on once in a while, but I have gone to a much better place :D

This is also why I have alot of faith in sro. KSRO has 0 bots -0-.
Auto-attack is magical.
Super high damage, GREAT party system.
New uniques, very cool.

I'll miss everyone on Troy, especially people like you, The_Chinaman, wfcxcptgrr, _Blood, ThePhenom, Drew1975, WFCxArgos and alot of others.

Technically speaking, World of Warcraft does have better gameplay. The only thing Silkroad Online beats WoW is in graphics.

You could have said something. >.<
And you better come back more then just once in a while. Who will I gloat to about gaining levels faster then you now? Hmmm? Can you answer that?! lol

I wish I could play KSRO xP

Hmm, I played wow, and lvled up to 30. It was extremely boring. The graphics suck, the people suck, and the battle system suck. The only really good thing I could come up with was that the ability to change your UI was spiffy.

Silkroad is a grind fest galore.

WoW has much more features than silkroad, the gameplay of WoW is better.

First of all, your talking about how the WASD, and clicking mobs and such in WoW is very difficult, i though so also when i first started.

Its cause your so used to SRO/KSRO...

There are many advantages of the gameplay in WoW compared to Sro and such.

Did you even make it past level 20?

How about lagg? if it was boring to lvl up do instances! Service? did you do any quests? and how about bad people in sro? Most peole iv'e met in WoW have been nice and helped me out Alot. CCF doesn't exist either.

edit: and the bot problem isn't close to as bad as in sro :!:

WoW is Much better. the pvp system is a ton of fun, and actually requires SKILL. you dont have to grind for your good gear, you just put together a team and run an instace or 2 Or get high ranks in pvp. the controls are a little different, but actually makes you do somthing other then /point /click /1 /2 /3 /repeat 1700 times till quest is done.
I bet if 1/2 of you who say wow sucks had grinded all the way upto 75 in SRO by hand you would find it much better... bsides some of us have better things to do then grind 5hours a day... lol some people just dont know... and you can talk to a gm 5min after your post.

I used to play WoW before I played SRO and I must say I like SRO better. Sure it's preference and all but game wise this fits me much better ^.^ I don't like spending hours just to make better bullets for my gun. I don't like going to Gnomer and seeing lvl 60's die from lvl (20's I believe?). Even going to Ironforge for their "auction house" was too laggy except if you went at 3 in the morning.

Unless you're maxed level you don't do too much except grind quests instead of monsters, and once you're maxed level and spend all that time getting the best there was for that level they raise it and it's now worth nothing. I heard now that the only thing making horde and alliance different (shamans and whatever those other loosers where lol) is now changed as the new races are opposite -_-

Killing a million things and doing a million quest are the same in my book ;)

I signed up for the 10 day trial of WoW but haven't installed it yet. I spent a day reading the info on their site, and I KNOW I'll get addicted to it if I did try it. It has the main thing I wish SRO would have, a real crafting system. I'd prefer to make my own gear from scratch, based upon a skill that I build up over time, rather than 100% pure luck based alchemy system where I have to grind forever to collect all of the elements and tablets, or pay huge sums of gold for, only to have it fail. I'd prefer to skin mobs for leather, or collect thread, or mine metals, then assemble them into weapons/armor, and get someone to add enchantments or whatever.

The thing putting me off is the whole race/class thing, I think that is pretty dumb. I never cared for that stuff in RPGs, I like how SRO is totally open ended in that way, you can take a char and based upon how you allocated stats you can make a "fighter" or a "nuker".

Problem you don't see yet is that if you're going to make your own armor ect, for one it's almost always not as good as what you could buy and if you're going to go collecting all the materials plan a few hours/days depending on how much time you have to play and how high level it is and don't do any quests as you still are limited to inventory. Actually you have to buy your inventory "bags" in WoW. So it's either level up and grind quests or level up and grind your alchemy, or mining or whatever. Usualy you jsut make shit and then sell the shit so you don't loose much but your time and some money ;)

On the note of no bots, they have a larger problem I believe: Chinese Gold Farmers. These people are payed to take the minirals and guard it too. If your lucky enough to actually FIND a batch of lets say Mythril, it doens't matter as some gold farmer would get it quick enough ;) They also human bot, they stay in one place and kill everything in that area.

The "lag" was video lag. Gnomer is 35 i think you were allience no wonder you were bored. always losing the fights. the purple gear is still good during the next cap till you can get the purple for that cap. the SoS from one cap is even more worthless at the next. Wow has more Pros the SRO

Well, again I don't really CARE if you have to put a bunch of time into collecting stuff to make gear, I would do it because it would be FUN and something to do other than mindlessly grinding for 4 hours trying to collect 200 stupid flags that won't drop. Basically I'm REALLY getting bored in SRO and I want to make stuff.

SRO - Collect a ton of elements, taking up a ton of inv space or pay to put them in storage, grind hours (days) to find the tablet you want, make the stone, put it on your gear, FAIL. HOURS wasted, no gain, nothing.

WoW (from what I can see so far) - collect materials from mining or beasts or whatever, take your plans for an item, make it, you have the gear item that you wanted, the item you set out and spent the hours to get. No losing anything.

EDIT: And I would gladly buy my inv bags, it sounds logical to me. I like the "rest" system too, where if you don't log in for a few days you build up what is effectively Golden Ticket time of extra experience. The MAIN thing stopping me is the whole race/class thing. The char I like to play doesn't fall under any of the classes, as I like to be able to heal, do a minor bit of damage spell casting, and do decent up close fighting. No "pwnage", I just don't like to die, but I don't want to just sit in back all the time either. I guess I like chars that can do a variety of things decently.

SRO - Free to play, you choose to spend your money on it IF YOU LIKE.

Not neccisarrily "obviously better" I've played COH, COV, SWG, WoW, and Anarchy Online, err and Runescape I guess lol. Some of those were p2p some wherent but I don't think any of them were better than SRO. It's all in the style of game and just you're overall preference ;)

well if a game is P2P they should have better services than a free to play. SRO is a good game, just people should not compare it with a pay game.
