Ok guys please dont take this as a joke...this is in all seriousness...
Yesterday there were high winds and at a school in Ferndale the kids were outside at recess.
The flagpole was rusting and with the high winds it snapped in half and landed a group of kindergardeners striking one in the head and killing her. She was only 5

Thats really sad, but I don't think its something that would make national news. There obviously would be local coverage.
Not to mention national news is too busy looking for someone to blame with whats happening in Virginia.

that is true but what is the chance that a new not rusting pole would just snap in half? i mean it was the only flagpole in the area that snapped and fell

Man too many senseless deaths these days. If people are going to die, it should be the ones who deserve it like murderers and rapists. I don't anyone could have expected it. Unless there's laws about repairing/replacing flagpoles.

this is cause of nature not cause of men. when it storms at your
place and your roof blows off taking your mom and dad with it,
would you blame the architect for not making your house tornado
proof?
you just stated that there was a lot of wind, more than avarage.
so i blame the wind, not the school nor the flagpole nor the dumb
kid that was playing outside in a storm next to a high rusty pole.

well again very good point....but with the tornado there would be other houses in the area that had there roof blown off....with this it was the only pole in the area to snap in half and they siad if it wasnt rusted it wouldnt have happened....
Also its the skools fault they were outside....they shouldnt have even been outside with hi winds and freezing cold
